Autonomous road rage. AI drivers don't like traffic cops either.

Has there been a claim that autonomous vehicles would be accident free? Seems like a pretty steep order especially when integrating with traditionally controlled vehicles.

Where is the expectation of zero accidents coming from?

What is lacking here is a way to compare autonomous vehicle safety to the safety of traditional vehicles. Lives lost per occupant mile. Serious injury per occupant and vehicle mile. Monetary damage incurred per vehicle mile.

It just isn't news if we can't see how it compares to what we currently have.....unless someone was really expecting zero accidents.

Why should a car crash merit national new coverage? Do you realize how full the papers/web would be if all accidents were reported?

Why do these people push AI to drive on the streets. Those robots are worse than people. They do as what they're told with no remorse, no regrets and no empathy. Although, some of us are like robots.

Hey, A new way to shirk responsibility! Lets blame the Car!

The thing that strikes me is the number of people who are so stupid that they really think they can lie about who was driving. All Tesla vehicles have both black boxes and live communication with Tesla while the car is in on.

Here's a non-autonomous one for comparison. The vehicle was an Audi A3:

Yeah. If an accident has an exceptionally high degree of mayhem the chances are probably very small that it was caused by an autonomous vehicle.

According to YouTube, most of them occur in Russia.
