Generator Bus PT

consider the attached figure, what is the function of connecting the BUS PT HV neutral to the generator neutral, as shown by the red line?

The red line indicates the shortest route from the base of the generator to the triple pizza oven.

It seems, the busbar system is not provided with a neutral. If you need to measure RN,YN,BN voltages the sole neutral available is the generator neutral.

but cant the relays just calculate neutral voltages by (line voltage/√3)?

Since neutral is somehow grounded the insulation resistance and the capacity phase-to-ground is different from one phase to another then neutral is deployed from its ideal point[Ni] in the actual point Na so the voltage R-Na>R-Y/sqrt(3) and B-Na<B-R/sqrt(3).

Measuring the voltage to neutral-ground-it is a way to control the phase-to-ground insulation.
