Pressure Vessel Design for Design Pressure + Peak Pressure + Blast Load

the below 2 points are our client`s requirement

1 .In addition to design pressure of 0.35 MPa(g) the vessel should be able to withstand a peak pressure of 0.7 MPa(g) @ 90 % yield caused by internal explosion in reaction furnace.

2. All equipment shall be designed for the expected blast load. A preliminary blast explosion front pressure of 15 kPag shall be applied.

For internal pr., should i consider all the above three pressure. i.e . design pr (0.35 MPa(g) + peak pressure of 0.7 MPa(g) + blast load (15 kPag ).

kindly provide suggestion

Hire a consultant.

That is an engineer who can guide you and educate you at the same time.

Where is the blast load--internal or external? If internal, why not just fold it into a 0.715 MPa(g) total explosion load?

Make sure the vessel design has been reviewed by the by the company responsible for supplying burst indemnity insurance, and witness-tested by them in front of the Client before despatch!
