High Pressure Air Flow

08/19/2017 3:53 AM

Want to flow air @ 25m3/min with 40 Bar air pressure, at a distance of 100 mtr with 08 nos bending. What will be the pipe size.

What is the calculation method.

~28cm duct size....680 cm/s duct velocity...for 8 ea 45° bends...

Whether or not intentional, maybe it's just an IED.

Maybe he's using this air stream to inject the sewage from his previous post into the injection well.

Do you have a ~ 1700 - 2000 HP multi stage air compressor to create such a volume (~885 CFM) at that pressure (~580 PSI) ?

If so we want pictures!

Asssuming pressures in gauge and flow as "normal" (standard) it will require approximately 355 kW (476 bhp) and a 3 stage reciprocating compressor.

Sounds like a PET bottle blower...with only 2.5" discharge, but high velocity...260kw

What type of WMD (that's Weapon of Mass Destruction) are you contemplating?

<...What will be the pipe size....> Absolutely enormous. Reconsider. Generate the compressed air much closer to where it is needed instead.

No, I am not talking about air duct. Its the high pressure air line for PET bottle blowing purpose.

Its flow rate 25m3/min @ 40 Barg pressure. My question what would be the pipe line size and its calculation (formula)

Also its discharge length is 100 mtr with 8 nos of 90 degree bend.

WHY DIDN'T YOU EXPLAIN THIS IN THE BEGINNING?

When you say "air flow" of 25m3/min, are you meaning that this is the volume at 40 barg or is this the specification of the compressor which would mean 25 normal meters cubed per minute (suction pressure of the compressor)?

No its not the specification of compressor, its 25 Nm3/min air @ 40 Barg high pressure is required to blow the PET bottle.

You state - "25 Nm3/min at 40 barg. This is very confusing as "Normal" in this context means the volume of air at 20o C and 101.325 kPa. At 40 barg this 25m3 would be around 0.62m3 . Which volume should we be considering?
