AC Resistance For Single Core Copper Cable

Dear All,

How to calculate the AC resistance for single core PVC insulated cable.Proximity effect will not takes place in single core cables,but skin effect will occur.For example what is the AC resistance for single core 150 SQMM (worked derivation).Please kindly let me know the same.

It depends primarily on the frequency of the AC current on the wire. Is it 50Hz? 60? MHz?

Hi sir,

Not a solid wire,class 2 conductor(7 wire/19 wire/37 wire/61 wire).Just assume that 19 strand for 150 SQMM cable.
