Highway Construction and Engineering

09/25/2017 9:08 AM

Highways interlink at least two places and guarantee that businesses, work, and development take place. Traffic lights, bridges, footpaths, bicycle ways, and path dividers make up a protected highway. Current expressways are known for their high capacity, efficiency, and planned development. Highway frameworks are imperative for the development of a locale. Thruways open new exchange routes and practically every industrial area on the planet is associated with the major highway network system of that specific nation.

Highway development and engineering incorporates designing, planning, and construction of highways. History is witness that quality roads prompt prosperity for inaccessible societies. On the off chance that a roadway is all around planned and afterwards executed as per the plan, a highway can open the entryways of development and progress.

Various factors related to designing and highway construction:

Planning stays the most imperative piece of the process of engineering construction, independent of the nature and kind of construction. Planning tasks are trailed by design tasks and once designs are finished, execution works begin. Planning is imperative in light of the fact that worldwide populace is expanding at an exponential rate; globalization and technological progressions have made things less demanding for individuals, however trying for engineers. Planning helps in estimation of dangers, capacity estimation, and it empowers engineers to leave scope for any future change or extension of roads or bridges.

Link to page where the above was copied and posted from.

Suhas, maybe you should read this. Unless you are the original author of what you are copying and pasting, you are committing this. You post these with your name at the bottom, like you wrote it, with no mention where the article came from. If you are not the original author then these practices are distasteful.

That link seems to be enough to him reported and possibly banned from CR4, as a troll

I also found him here, where it looks like he has done the same thing.

Never has anyone said so little, with so many words.

You may want to quit cutting and pasting and READ THIS!

Either you are incredibly stupid, or incredibly cowardly.

If you are the former, you don't know how to set your member settings to get an email when someone replies to your post. Then, you would not know that there are replies to your post. You can't really be faulted for that; you would just be stupid, and of no consequence.

If the latter however, you cannot return and face your accusers - at least some response, then what are you? If you cannot deal with confrontation, you won't last long at all as an engineer.

You should know that there is a step further that you can take as an engineer; getting a Professional Engineer license. Part of the course material is on ethics. You are violating ethics right now - plagiarizing someone else's work.

Are you working now? It would suprise me if you actually answered.

A message to civil engineers everywhere. Traffic light programs and systems should be left up to the automation engineers. At this point, it seems that the current protocol is based on stopping the flow of traffic, not improving it. Sometimes the easiest approach is the least expensive for the equipment installer, but the people being affected pay and pay and pay again for poorly conceived traffic light systems.

Then again, when automobiles take over the driving and leave the humans out of it, traffic will flow much better than it does now. And, we won't need traffic lights! Woo Hoo, I can hardly wait for that. The process of allowing humans to drive their automobiles over the roads means that you have to anticipate the effects of bad drivers in your calculations. Texting has exasperated that issue beyond anything that planners could predict.

I'm not sure what you were trying to say/justify, but you guys will probably take credit for great road designs after technology eliminates human drivers. The good news is that your calculations should be easier.
