It wasn't that long ago, I had nightmares about derelict oilfield equipment being the only sign of human activity in West Texas. Now, we have the equipment, and the derelicts, but we also are producing a whole bunch more oil/day than we were.

Texas is not booming, it is blooming in fall!

kind of like enjoying the smell of your own armpits, this fascination with burning fossil fuels. Eventually, it will get old, and your smile will be simple senility.
