Dry Vacuum Pumps for Use in Medical Research?

My firm is completing general background research on dry vacuum pumps and their potential application in the medical research area for a pump manufacturer.
The pumps are currently being utilized in major nuclear facilities and research laboratories with specific application to circulate or pump gases which can be aggressive, inert, toxic or radioactive (the only materials exposed to the vacuum environment are stainless steel or nickel plated steel).
