displace. move from place.

Like in a condensate power pump termed positive displacement pump action .

Space it is the distance from here to there or from there to here.

Volume it is the amount an object occupies or the amount of water it displaces.

Time the time between now and then or between then and now.

What else, if anything did you intend to ask about displacement?

It is a measure of the amount of volume when a completely full cylinder is emptied

Are you sure?

Maybe it's the number of people forced out of their homes by a large fire such as in California right now. This is a quite large displacement of people.

You must let folks know the specific type of displacement you are asking about.

I am assuming you are the same "Guest" who asked the question. Really have no way to be sure though.
