What type of pump... syringe? Peristaltic? what application?..you'll possibly find software more problematic than the pump?

Not sure what you mean by the above... do you mean a peristaltic pumping a gas??

I would also help if you gave us a clue as to what continent you are on.

Sorry for the confusion, I obviously am not an "expert". I mean pumping a liquid, not gas. I am in the U.S., looking for a consultant that has design experience in medium scale pneumatic pump used in medical applications.

Well that's me out, I've done medical but I'm in UK and into peristaltic pumps.
