Quite possibly! But it's a surer bet that some of "us" (no pun intended) will make a worse tomorrow to live in, if history is any judge. As to re-incarnation, in western world countries (U.S. mostly) where people speak blithely of "good Karma"...it might come to be that if Nirvana as a state truly intended for the purest, most enlightened and deserving, then eternal bliss awaits not human beings, but insects.

May your new year be one of happiness as well, come what may.

I'm going to try to convince my bank that I'm still a good proposition for a 500 year mortgage on the yacht that I would like to buy!

Dear Dr. Shyam, Thank you for participating in these forums. You bring reason and a steadying presence to these often chaotic discussions.

As you said ;"You are the son or daughter of the Universe and it all belongs to you forever. You are here now and you will be here again and again to inherit it. It is all yours and forever" reminds us to strive for excellence in our endeavours because our children or perhaps ourselves as you suggest, will either reign supreme or suffer from our decisions.

I feel we are at a critical point in history where we have more power than ever before to alter the future for the benefit or detriment of the inhabitants this planet.

Hopefully reason and wisdom will rule our efforts and future generations will celebrate our collective capacity for sound judgement in managing and contributing to world betterment.

If you live a disciplined life then it is easier to inherit your values in your children as they look at you and learn from you in time. However, your children are not you and may be totally different, so do not feel extremely bad if they are not what you wished then to be as you are not what your parents wished you to be.

Our individual act in the world is very significant when it is for a genuine purpose. More you can refer to Gita, the book on "Karma" or your actions to be.

Values are talked so far have meaning only in highly evolved societies and may not have great meaning in other societies where army-men torture and kill children and women. In such cases the survival of individual by all means have the greatest purpose. We are in this era now.
