The top one is CO2, then you have the HFCs that are allowed by MP(montreal protocol).

I guess I am lost her. I know CO2 is a refrigerant but the potential of this GREEN HOUSE GAS would appear to make it unacceptable as a refrigerant. How is it that the GW crowd can have it both ways?

CO2 already exists, it's only captured to be re-used. This way you are not producing more. But by using an other gas, burn, etc you generate more CO2.
