02/14/2008 9:43 AM

Can some one let me know the information below :

1. what is ELR (Earth Leakage Protection Relay) setting for a 100Amp & 200Amp, 415Vac incoming supply?

2. How do determine the current & timing ?

Best Regards

Local electricity supply regulations may offer some guidance. In which country is this, please?

Are you talking about a 100A / 200 Amp supply or did you mean a 100mA & 200mA earth leakage protection / RCDs.

As stated it depends where you are, for example in the UK / Europe under IEE they go 'upwards' of 30mA in <30mSec, see

http://www.iee.org/Publish/WireRegs/WiringMatters/Documents/Issue15/2005_15_summer_wiring_matters_inspection_and_testing_rcds.pdf

There are professional equipment available to test Earth Leakage protection devices, we have to check commercial applications once a year in the UK.

Dear JohnBob

Thank you for your useful information, and please provide me more of the basic step to design 3 phase 415Vac,200Amp main incoming distribution boards with over current & earth fault protection (Earth leakage relay) with use on domestic application.
