Autism Causes?

02/25/2008 1:08 AM

Two weeks ago my wife and I found out that there is a chance that our son might have a slight case of autism. Now, this is something that no parent wants to hear, at least not any parent that I can think of. I have looked up quite a few things on line (with a lil' guidance from Sparkstation... Thanks again) but still do not get it. There are quite a few people that say the problems all have arisen from thimerosal; which is an ingredient of sorts in childhood shots, or innoculations. Also, aluminum, can be found in these shots. These are both neurotoxins and can have adverse affects on an infant/toddlers brain. I have looked at studies that have said that "Yes" this is the answer to the problem of autism... get rid of the shots and the problem will go away (or at least get rid of the thimerosal; which, thankfully has been dropped out of the cocktail). And there are studies that say "No" the problem is genetic and that the cocktail(s) pose no problem to children.

Now, I ask you all out there in CR4 cyberspace... If you have any sort of idea on the subject, what is it? Which side sounds correct? The cocktails are the culprits, or the genes are. I know that you all out there are well read and well learned and I look forward to any input you might have.

Cheers,

Ferris jr.'s Dad

Hi Ferris,

I don't think the situation is as straight forward as cause being either vaccine or genes. In the UK official position is that the so called 'Triple-Vaccine' is not the cause. One effect of initial public concern was an alarming drop in people getting their children protected against some pretty nasty illnesses. Whilst stemming the speculation, notable people such as Tony Blair declined to say if their own children were having the triple jab. Research is being done about genetics, but I wouldn't expect any answers soon.

It's probably natural for anyone with an autistic child to want to know about causation, but your research might be better directed at investigating what the condition means in terms of everyday life. The future will probably take you along a slightly different path to that which you had planned, but there's no reason why it won't be just as rich as (or better than) anyone else's. Plenty of support groups exist, and hopefully you have a local one.

Whilst autism is now regarded is a 'spectrum' condition, it's unusual to hear someone described as having a 'slight' case of autism. That's probably difference in UK/Brit language, since 'mildly' autistic is often used here. The usage of 'Spectrum' reflects the fact that individuals have individual characteristics, areas of above/below average ability. 'Ability' is not in itself a good word, since the conditions effect on emotion and social interaction are the main ones. There's no shortage of quack therapies and misguided doctors out there, and unfortunately a lot of people only know of autism via films such as Rain Man. You may find yourselves seeing a barrage of specialist consultants, but don't let them replace what you can do directly as simply normal loving parents.

CR4 has had several previous threads on the topic, and their are good support groups to be found. Hope things all move forward happily for you all.

Kris

I have full ASD cures in my ASD/Congenital Lyme group of 400 families. We have letters from their phychiatrists and their Doctors. Most of the kids are grade school age. First words from them are various and the stories will rip your heart out, both the tales of years of frustration and how the parents repond to their childs first words, sometimes heard in song. We have been doing this for over a year now, Doctors themselves are in the group curing their own Chronic Borreliosis and some are finally seeing progress in the ASD of their own kids and grandkids. Autism is completely reversible and Congenital Lyme, Chronic Lyme and Late Stage Lyme are completely curable.

The families are on every continent except Antartica, every race, creed and color, every age down to 18 months. The generic meds and nutritional support cost less than $250 per person. Standard testing applies and is used to verify Lyme in undiagnosed kids after their Immune System is re-booted so than can make antibodies again. Some of the kids were so deficient in immune support micro-nutrients that their vaccines were still in circulation 2 years after their big 2nd year vaccine.

Four families were even third generation congenital Lyme and the Grandparents have recovered too.

Turned out it isn't the vaccines, it's the food that has been altered to be sweet and seedless which removed micro-nutrients that are the only source of the only internal antioxidant that B-Cells, Neutrophils and other forms of white blood cells need to protect themselves from self-destruction when they create the ROS they use to kill bacteria, viruses, molds, cancer cells and process the vaccines.

Hi, I was going to reply but Kris has said most of it.

I don't think there is a specific cause...it's just part of our natural variety.
Mrs Cat worked as a special needs teacher for many years and helped many of her 'little friends'. What many children apeared to 'lack' in one area they made up for elsewhere. Two notable kids have since gone to university, and one little girl who was never very bright is the most caring compasionate mother one could wish for.

I wish you and your son all the best, like Kris says, don't get sucked into looking for causes or magic fixes, work with him on achieving as much as possible and where necessary on 'coping strategies'.

Re: Autism causes?

Turns out there is a specific cause and it is the fact that micro-nutrients are completely missing from nearly all processed foods, all of Monsanto's patented foods and feeds, and all soy formulas and jarred baby foods. They have a HUGE propaganda machine, including false research papers written in Nigeria, research that hints that the immune system itself causes the damage and so should be turned off, and a public propaganda machine touting the dangers of un-altered natural foods.

We found the kids can recover speech in as little as 3 weeks of nutritional support using un-altered foods and herbal supplements containing the entire immune system of plants that our immune system incorporates directly, but they cannot recover fully until their bodies are rid of the systemic pathogens that are causing low grade nflammation in their spinal cords and brains, restoration of glandular function and restoration of the many sub-systems of the Immune and Cellular Systems like the Respiratory Immune system, Mucosal immune system, Peridontal Immune system and bladder immune system, as well as the LPO and MPO systems.

We have tracked back the science to the 1940's to Bayer's research to find cures for Trench Mouth, Typhus, Malaria, and Syphilus that they were directly involved in by request of the German Army to help prevent these diseases in the trenches that killed twice as many soldiers as did the bullets and bombs of both WWI and WWII. Starvation experiments they performed on prisoners to determine minimum dietary requirements for Field Rations gave them the knowledge to reverse engineer micro-deficiencies in their patented foods in order to create income as well as using it for population control on every continent on the Planet.

We have the deleted gene numbers, patents to remove the micro-nutrients, names of all the Boards of Directors who ordered the research and the names of the researchers and their work that made it all possible. Autism in vaccine damaged kids is a 'designer disease', related to genes in only the smallest part of the ASD population and completely reversible. Missing are the red circled micro-nutrients in this chart of Essential Amino Acid Metabolisms.

All due respect, I note that you have a good record on CR4, but please explain to me in simple terms how you have a full cure for ASD. It runs contrary to everything I know.

You have clearly looked at the topic extensively. Just so you know, I do not believe in any 'cure', though I am open to all ideas. Without links, or ref to extensive tech papers, what do you mean ? If you know something, I would appreciate a concise summary. Thank you in anticipation. It may well be that I have misunderstood your meaning.

Please tell me clearly - do you claim a full cure for ASD, yes or no.

I am skeptical if the answer is 'yes', but am willing to listen. Keep the reply simple for me.

Regards.

We have letters from their Doctors showing zero Congenital Lyme, Bartonella and Babesia after the protocol.

We have letters from their phychiatrists showing zero ASD where they were up to 74 and the assessment was that, in the case of for instance a 9 year old boy, he is now completely rid of all ASD symptoms but has the education and social skills of a child of 4 but with summer school and some tutoring he will be caught up by 6th grade.

That is not a reply to my question.

To be blunt, your posts so far on this topic are snake-oil blab. Complete rubbish.

Sorry to offend, it may be that we express ourselves differently. However, all are entitled to their opinions and style of communication.

It may be for the better if you and I agree to disagree. You are welcome to PM me if you feel that may help resolve our different views.

Not sure how that didn't work as an answer about having a full cure...

I have been on CR-4 for years now and love the back and forth debates including personal attacks, lol.

I would say this, quoting an old Chinese proverb:

Brother here is the thing....

There is Autism and then there is Autism Spectrum Disorders. One is true Autism and the other is something that shares the same sorts of symptoms but is....from elsewhere.

When Jr was diagnosed, we dove into things that many have laughed at and said wouldn't work. Crazy supplementation regimens with anti fungal, biotics and virals.., as well as, mineral replacements and probiotics and a whole slew of others.

Jr talks up a storm now, where as before he didn't speak - he started talking before a year old and then after that series of shots stopped. Many kids have been brought back from their diagnosis. Many - not all. I have many friends who have kids that were "normal" before and now are incapable of speech, no matter what they do to try and help.

Things have changed a great deal in the last few years. I haven't been able to keep up with everything because of work and other things but...biomedical is a valid way of bringing kids and people out of the diagnosis.

There have actually been many Drs here in the states who have been using something that has reversed the effects of Autism and others with a compound the CDC has labeled as illegal. Many of them have ended up dead. Kind of like how it is illegal to bring vitamin B17 into the US...why? Dunno, but it is supposed to work wonders on a GREAT many things that pharma wants to continue using poisons on/with.

Peace up you rascally squirrel!

Ferris

Lol - you know me too well. I have total respect for you and Rider, but I love to stir the pot when I read something contentious. Just my rather blunt when of stimulating responce and debate.

"There is Autism and then there is Autism Spectrum Disorders". Ain't that the truth. Money is to be made in labels. I kinda like Semantic Pragmatic Disorder, it's much like my own son (and also has Royal connotations, The Lost Prince)). Numerous occassions I have listened to people (usually moms) in queues having passing chat, and seeming to want to outdo each other about their kids condition. It's one way to vent, so not too bad a thing.

I don't buy any sort of 'cure' notion. As said, I respect Grandin, but countless people clutch (forgive the pun) the notion of hugging therapy.

Life is simply not so kind as to give us a solution to everything. That is not to say we do not look for solutions and cures, just that meantime we handle the cards life deals us.

I respect all views, though I can be a tad blunt at times . No offence intended to anyone.

Re: Autism causes?

02/17/2017 10:30 PM

Here is what happened...in 2010 I was bitten by a tick and got the worst case of Lyme you can imagine. Doctor says: "Don't know what you have but it's really, really bad!" Gives me Cipro, knocks out most of the Lyme but it comes back with a vengence along with shredded tendons My ex-wife, mis-diagnosed with Lyme for 6 years, tells me about the antibiotic cocktail her Doctor in Missouri cured her with. I decide from extensive reading that the combination of Minocycline along with Tinidazole taken every other day for 60 days, 1 dose of each an hour apart, sized at 1/2 mg. per pound of body weight. Both penetrate the CSF in the same concentration as the rest of the body, both have an affinity for Borrelia. Combined they kill all forms of Borrelia.

Well within modern CDC guidelines for Lyme, this still works. I have helped hundreds of people get their Doctors to prescribe this since 2011 and it works every time if you do the whole protocol which includes 2 weeks of nutritional support to reverse the always present Thiocyanate Deficiency that shuts down the Neutrophils, B-Cells and T-Cells. (protocol is in letter form here: https://www.facebook.com/notes/will-wiegman/wiegman-pulsed-protocol-for-lyme-disease-including-congenital-lyme-and-vaccine-i/10154253003723139/

A year ago last Thanksgiving (Nov. 2015) a family called me via messenger phone to thank me for my suggestion that Tinidazole and Minocycline would kill Spirochetes in the CSF. Their ASD son had almost died twice but was now out of trouble but still had Congenital Lyme. She asked if I thought Lyme and the vaccines could have caused the ASD symptoms and if my whole protocol could be adapted to her 9 year old son, which it easily could since both are prescribed per weight. The ratio being 1/2 mg. per pound, every other day for 60 days. She took the letter to her Doctor who was able to prescribe it for her son since the CDC had changed it's time restrictions on Lyme abx treatments.

On day 48 her son started talking again and by Valentines Day 2016 she started a group of 400 ASD/Congenital Lyme families in 28 countries, on every continent except Antarctia. A half dozen Doctors themselves are in the group to cure themselves and all members' Physician are allowed into the group to monitor and learn if they drop their title from their name. They were all given access to the protocol in English and were able to get their family Doctors, familiar for years with their ASD children, to prescribe the medications. Support products were all available from amazon so consistancy was easily achieved except in Australia, New Zealand and parts of Europe where restrictions on Tinidazole, an over-the-counter drug in many tropical countries, was banned or restricted. Minocycline has been given to teenagers for acne for years and both are available in generic forms.

In the first Phase of amygdalin supplementation to build Thiocyanate levels in the White Blood Cells (along with two products containing the immune systems of trees, Wild Cherry Bark Extract or Pinella) resulted in an identical rejuvination of the kids' Immune Sub-systems in this order:

1. Day 4...runny nose as the Mucosal Immune System in the surface of the Sinuses started to clear allergens...last 1-3 days.

2. Day 7...slight cough and clearing of the lungs and esophagus as the Respiratory Immune Sytem began to work again...lasts 1 1/2 days.

3. Day 9...eye rubbing as the Occular Immune System started to function properly again...lasts 1-2 days.

4. Day 12...Urinary tract irritation and rubbing as the Bladder Immune System on the inside surface of the bladder and urethrea started to work again.

5. Day 14...inflammation around the mouth and cheeks and baby teeth finally releasing as the Dental Immune System started functioning and the re-booted Neutrophils were once again able to cut the ligaments holding the late dropping baby teeth in.

6. Dose 2 of the Mino/Tindy Phase 2 results in a noticeable Herxeimer Reaction on Day 5 from the Minocycline killing a large number of normally dividing Spirochetes. An extra 'day off' is allowed here for people more sensitive to the Herx reaction.

7. Dose 7 of the Mino/Tindy Phase 2 results in a large Herxeimer Reaction to the Tinidazole breaking into the biofilm colonies throughout the body. An extra day off here too.

8. Day 54 of the Mino/Tindy Phase 2 results in the Serum/CSF concentration of the Minocycline to reach it's killing concentration in the blood stream and start to kill the Bartonella. This results in another noticeable Herxeimer Reaction, especially in people with an Iron sensitivity. Pomegranate juice, 100% and a natural chelator of iron, was introduced in the diet of the people sensitive to high iron.

Around week 7 the kids are able to focus their central vision again as the inflammation in their Superior Cervical Ganglia and their Adenoids resides enough for their Fight or Flight response to go back to normal status. The kids first response is to run to their parents, pull their faces together and stare into their eyes while laughing.

It is now that they start talking too since it is that same inflammation in the Superior Cervical Ganglion, that also is the nerve hub that controls the entire physical speech apparatus, clears enough to allow them to talk and sing, some for the first time.

From February 14, 2016 to February 14, 2017 I have spent over 3500 hours answering questions for the 400 families and their Doctors on every metabolic aspect of how clearing the Lyme allows the Immune and Cellular Repair Systems to clear all the inflammation out of the spine, glial apparatus of the brain, the CSF, all the glands and organs so that the kids are able to recover slowly as all the dead systemic bacteria are cleared and the WBCs are able to go back to maintenance, growth and repair mode. (Th1 & TH2 are allowed to go back to normal mode from immune responce mode).

There is more....lot's more, but that is where we are now...recovery varies from child to child but they are in 28 different countries with potentially any of the 29 different strains of B. burgdorferi as well as the other 21 different strains of Borrelia that exist world wide.

Clearing of vector borne Borrelia and Congenitally acquired Borrelia is above 95%, in 3rd generation Congenital Lyme, too.

Babesia responds fully to the TriBiotics.

Bartonella in Congenital Lyme kids who were infected before they were 10 weeks old is the hardest to get rid of since it is in their bone marrow and affects the RBC Progenitor cells there. The Standard CDC treatment of Mino/Rifampin can be given with complete confidence after the Borrelia are all gone since the kidneys are cleared and able to produce Vitamin D3 again and neural inflammation is reduced.

More info soon...each organ, gland, and system was affected in specific ways by the Lyme combo of Babesia, Bartonella and Borrelia and I will explain how each system was returned to normal as the systemic infections were cleared.

I was asked to only monitor and answer questions about how each system related to visible symptoms and metabolic inbalance and that amounted to about 25,000 questions in a running dialogue of all 400 families that included about 250,000 individual posts. It may be impossible to get this much info together again, ever...

Well, first, don't get into a panic, which I don't think you are. Take a breath and be concerned, but these things take time.

Kris has some very excellent advice and thoughts on the subject. However, be careful with free advice, particularly from people and groups that are not well versed in the field you seek answers to. All of us mean well and extend our heart filled best wishes, but may unintentionally not give the best advice.

If I were in your shoes I would call a few of my friends that are doctors and ask where they recommend I turn for more information. From there you can expand your search for answers. Chances are you will find even more questions you did not think to ask.

Good luck and I think you will do very well. You are already asking questions and that is the first step toward enlightenment.

Not sure how things work in California. In Idaho, our son benefited from early childhood intervention including speech and occupational therapy through the state. Also check with your school district as to what services are available. Our son also attended a special pre-school that also helped him a lot. The hidden benefit was an opportunity to meet other parents that we could trade ideas with.

Autism is a spectrum disorder--there is no one size fits all treatment. We found that it is important to be informed and ask questions of doctors and specialists. Make sure your son is tested for hearing as well.

Ask your doctor about the vaccines that your child is given to determine if they have mercury in them. Some do and some don't. If you have a choice, use the ones that don't but check it out and understand the risks. Some people recommend a gluten free diet. We tried it and it didn't change anything

Sometimes there is no reason. Look for the things your son does well and celebrate them.

Re: Autism Causes?

I too have a son with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) so this is of great interest and I sympathise with you. As others have said the cause is not the important issue, although I think it is unlikely that vaccines or diet are involved. I can see some autistic tendencies in both myself and my wife (not uncommon in academics or engineers for that matter!) so I suspect genetics has a large part in it.

As one consultant said to us, the label autism can be unhelpful, it is not a diagnosis, but a description of a range of problems. They prefer the term autistic spectrum disorder (ASD)as there is a whole spectrum of problem areas and many children only have difficulty in some areas but not others. These may include speech, social skills, fine or coarse motor skills, repetitive behaviour or speech patterns. For example my son was a late talker but when he started his vocabulary was very advanced but had problems in other areas.

There is no cure as such, but treatment focuses on each area of difficulty, for example speech therapy, occupational therapy to help with motor skill problems, socialising etc. Most will go on to live fulfilled lives. I would echo Del's comment that often those with ASD are very strong in other areas and I think you will a good many engineers and academics have some ASD tendencies.

Looking for causes is looking backward. I am probably bi polar, but would I trade the obsession and insane focus and occasional clarity for a nice safe life. My family would, but I don't think I would. Open up the opportunities and see where they take your child.I think I speak for everyone here when I say, you carry not just our sympathy, but our hopes. All life is a spectrum and the exciting bits are on the edges.

I agree avoid the blame game. The counter to this story is that thimerosal has been replaced by something else which gives exactly the same symptoms. This I find unlikely.

Re: Autism Causes?

02/26/2008 8:23 AM

I personally had a slight case of autism, and the only problems I had were a slight speech impediment, and some ear troubles--I don't know if the ear troubles were related. My parents put me with speech instructors that were at my primary school for K-2 grade and the various teachers would work with me for an hour or so every day. I now have little trouble with my speech, I'm on the dean's list at RIT, and have participated in various sports achieving championships in two: XC and wrestling, I have no trouble in making new friends and so on. So if you are searching for the possibility of having that child that turns out like everyone else's child, you have a chance at that, however if you wish to experience what a growing number of parents and communities are beginning to experience, you also have the possibility of that. In either case you shouldn't worry, and just prepare yourself, as any parent would, for the various obstacles in teaching your children and helping them grow.

As for the cause, it is probably a mixture of the two. The vaccines probably tempered with some genes at the right time in the right person and now it has become a part of our communal gene pool.

Re: Autism Causes?

biggjoshie,

The early difficulties you experienced don't sound like Autism. Autism is regarded by most as a 'hard-wired' condition, with no known 'cure'. Nobody ever "had a slight case of autism", any more than they had a slight case of Dyslexia. Individuals generally have difficulty understanding social interaction. Physical conditions such as epilepsy are sometimes found in those with Autism, as are gastro problems. That's a huge simplification, but you can read more at sites such as this. I didn't understand your meaning in the sentence....

So if you are searching for the possibility of having that child that turns out like everyone else's child, you have a chance at that, however if you wish to experience what a growing number of parents and communities are beginning to experience, you also have the possibility of that

.....could you elaborate ? All children are different, but those with autism are unable to comprehend the world around them the same way that others do. Various interventions can help improve the situation for some, but there is no cure as such. It's not like, for instance, social phobia that can be overcome with cognitive therapy etc. However, adaptive strategies can help those with autism lead fulfilled lives.

I don't mean to sound terse, but you seem to be talking about something different.

I have to take issue with some of the points in Kris's posting. Whilst it is true that autism has no cure, most people with ASD can learn coping strategies that enable them function normally. Since the autism label only really applies to to those at the severe end of the ASD spectrum, one could legitimately (if slightly loosely) use the term "slight autism" to describe those at the less severe end of the the spectrum.

I agree with those who are saying that worrying about the cause is irrelevant, what matters is how you move on from where you are.

Hi Chankley,

It was the part where biggjoshie said "...had a slight case of autism" that led me to think something other that autism was being described. I emphasized the word 'had', because the condition doesn't disappear like a cold.

As I said in the previous, "Various interventions can help improve the situation for some".

I dislike over-use of labels, but I don't agree that 'autism' is only a relevant descriptor for those with 'severe ASD'. However, I think we agree that phrases and labels are subject to interpretation, and how people address their individual situations is more important.

"how people address their individual situations is more important."

I completely agree. I address my current situation of no longer having the social "disabilities"/differences of someone who has autism, though mine was slight, and I'm not going to argue the "slight" part, because depending on where you look, you will find different deffinitions and relativism arguments for autism. MY doctor told my parents I had it when I was younger and that I should take various chemicals and it "should" "make me all better." They didn't... Back to the matter that you don't like: the "had": Does someone that no longer coughs, still have the cough since the virus is stored in their immune system? Does someone that had chickenpox still have chicken pox since it is stored in their system? To me if you no longer have the symptoms that describe the condition/disease/cold/etc, you no longer have it. I no longer have the symptoms that led my doctor to believe I had slight/minor autism. Therefore I "had" "slight" autism.

That's cool. All the labels/word usage can sometimes be more of a hinderance than a help. I'm really glad that you found a way of overcoming the difficulties you had as a youngster. It's great that your parents had the wisdom to follow their instincts and not let some doctor leave you dosed up on meds. A lot of doctors seem to use that as an easy solution.

Look beyond the typical "medical" profession, they only know what they've been taught, nothing more. Try a naturopath. Do lot's of research. Search the internet for "mercury poisoning" and chelation. Mercury is very toxic to humans and they use it as a preservative in those shots. Thimerosal contains mercury. Autism was never heard of until after mass vaccinations of our children........some countries have already banned amalgam fillings, they contain mercury too. I had all mine removed.

True, "the medical profession only know what they've been taught" but it has some link with research and slowly adapts as new information comes to light, whereas Naturopaths (and their ilk) can just make anything they want up. ffeJ

I agree with Guest

A naturopath saved my life. I had debilitating Arthritis and could barely get out of bed. All the medical doctors could do was fill me with drugs. My naturopath put me on all natural remedies and monitoring my food intake. It's going on eight years that I have been pain free and able to work. May be ilk but it works for me. Research by naturopaths is very well documented. You are what you eat!!

God bless you and yours. God only gives special needs children to special people.

Diet is hugely important to all people, and it's especially important to consider it in relation to child development and behaviour; In particular, food-stuffs that cause hyperactivity (aka ADD, HADD etc) since these can make diagnosis difficult. Autistic children can appear hyperactive just as much as they can appear introverted. A lot of doctors will reach straight for a prescription pad and write Ritalin or similar. People are susceptible to the notion that a pill is a solution.

I don't agree with, but also don't criticize, your up-beat notion that "God only gives special needs children to special people". Any philosophy that gives one a positive attitude is useful, so long as it does not preclude rational medical and educational methods of dealing with life.

Dear Guest

I want to re-open this discussion .We know that ethyl mercury is necessary for the

preservation of important vaccines .I am M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry .I want to find

a solution.I think if we use sterilised equal molar solution of Sodium sulfide alongwith

the vaccine and give some time to reaction between mercury and sulfide then we can

reduce the toxicity of the mercury .Because in this case mercury have already found

a sulfur atom and no need to combine with sulfhydryl group of proteins/hormones/enzymes .I think EDTA soultion may be used in place of sodium sulfide .

Re: Autism Causes?

There are all too many people who want to blame something people do as being the cause of such conditions. But then to avoid those things often opens more dangerous risks, in this case real diseases that can do real harm. No parent wants to think that it is their genetic fault that makes their children autistic or to have any other condition.

Autism is one condition that we have no real idea of why it occurs and it is a waste of time to try to blame anything until someone can find and prove a cause conclusively. It is more likely to be genetic or a result of environmental factors before birth. Pregnant women eat foods cooked or packaged in aluminum. There are traces of mercury and all kinds of metals in our foods and diet. Our air and water have hundreds of chemicals which are not good for us, mostly in amounts too small to matter. If you listen to some there is practically nothing that that they think is fit to eat or drink and doing as they want would cause mass starvation.

God bless you and your son and may he be healed in the name of Jesus. Amen

Re: Autism Causes?

02/28/2008 10:11 PM

Thank You One And All for your input, I (well, mostly Mrs. Ferris) have been looking on line for things about thimerosal and aluminum. One place that we found, quite unexpectantly was YouTube, there was a lot of info about Autism there in vids made by parents with autistic kids. As a complete diagnosis has not been done, we are not sure if our little man is affected or not. The test will take place on April 7th.

It is crazy, if you look up autism one thing that comes up a lot is that children born to parents that are into engineering or any other type of analytical profession(s) are more prone to be touched with autism than not. Strange.

Yes, diet is a big thing to look into. And is something that we have been delving into, honestly some of the food doesn't taste all that great.

Kris, the "slight" was a mistake on my behalf, autism is autism. Let me rephrase what I said - he could have autism, just not to the point of debilitation. The "classic symptoms" that I have been told do not apply to my son - he has no problem making eye contact, no problem with being touched/showing affection. The "professional" that put this thought into our heads was a speech therapist that watched how he was putting cars into a row;as well as, stacking blocks up on top of each other and made a comment about the possibility. When looking up causes and effects on Google, we came across reports/articles describing individuals that had been diagnosed with autism but had NO outward signs that would be obvious in adult life.

Again, THANK YOU ALL for your posts!

Richard, Richie & Gio

Re: Autism Causes?

02/29/2008 1:08 AM

Hi Ferris,

It's quit common for professionals who have contact with children to point out things that don't fit the norm. Children develop rapidly, and it's part of the professionals job to help initiate further investigation where appropriate. People such as speech therapists often have contact with pre-school and infant classes, and are often amongst the first to notice anything out of the ordinary. Whatever route is taken, parents will probably find themselves talking to a specialist who will try to assess what (if any) condition exists. With autism a large part of this is observation, but they will also consider other possibilities. It's quite possible they will test for genetic conditions such as 'fragile x', which can sound quite alarming, but it's a necessary step in diagnosis by excluding possibilities. In other words don't be too worried by possibilities that are mentioned.

In my opinion lining up cars/stacking bricks is not in itself an indicator of autism. Doing so for long periods, and ignoring anything else might be. I say 'might' because it's difficult to describe in a definitive way. To the autistic child playing with the cars/bricks, the outside world appears not to exist. You may see specific movements being repeated. Body movement such a swaying rhythmically and repetitive humming are common. There are a lot of individual signs that may or may not be present, and that's where an experienced professional can be very helpful in observation. Parents get used to the gradually evolving behaviour of their child, and it's more difficult to stand back and take an objective look at things.

There are various reasons why autism may seem more prevalent where parents are engineering types. It could be that they are more likely to seek out specialists when they have concerns. They may be more affluent, and therefor more able to find help. Autistic people may be drawn to each other and pass on genes for autism (if they exist) to their children - check out reports on Silicon Valley/Autism. On a more sinister level, Schools in the UK have found a huge rise in reported dyslexia - it's thought by many ( based on statistics) that this is down to affluent parents seeking academic advantage for their children (!). Like any other topic, the internet contains an awful lot of garbage on autism. Where there are people in need, there are people selling snake oil, and the usual outright weird folk.

Somewhere in all that I meant to say about eye contact. It's often a feature of autism, but like other aspects it's not in itself diagnostic. It might help if you have a local parent support group or special needs school you can visit. There are so many variations in what is called autism, that seeing/meeting people first hand is the best way to learn more.

Hope everything progresses well for you all on the 7th. I wouldn't regard it as a test, just an assessment to help assemble the facts and choose the way ahead.

Thanks Kris, we are not going to dwell on the idea anymore... I look at it like it is in bigger hands than mine, as does my wife. I do not believe that he is actually going to be found autistic (I do not think I am in denial... but that would be denying it, huh? ). But you know what? If so, then we shall do what it takes (hard work, therapy, change of diet - chelation or whatever) to overcome. Feris jr. is up to the fight as are me and his mom. I'll keep you all posted in one form or another...

Cheers

Excellent philosophy Ferris, there's no point going into overdrive about possibilities. A calm approach is always best. Let us know if there are any more facts that you want to canvass opinion/knowledge on. I'm sure this thread will be useful to others who find themself in a similar position.

Of course I will let you all know what is going on with Ferris jr (he is a big 3 yrs old today - 03 01). We have a special education teacher in the family (she deals with kids heavily affected by autism) and she said that she saw no sign of autistic behavior in him today at his birthday party. Again; though, we will need to wait to see what the future has in store for us and our lil' man.

Thanks again guys!

Re: Autism Causes?

07/26/2008 5:02 PM

OK. So Ferris jr had his developmental evaluation this past week and the psych has diagnosed him with PDD, or Pervasive Developmental Disorder. This is something that falls into (or under) the umbrella of ASD, Autism Spectrum Disorder. He does not have autism per se, just it falls into the ASD categories. Intervention is the order of the the day, week, month, year whatever the time frame is that we are dealing with here. He is capable of reading his first book (he is 3 yrs old) talks (back and forth) in English and Spanish (when prodded though), counts into the 30's in eglish and the 20's in spanish, swims(!) the width of the pool here in the apartment (nope, it is not a doggie paddle either... almost looks like a cross between freestyle and the breast stroke. He's fast), can dive into the deep end and swim down to the 5' deep bottom and touch it by himself! The only thing that isn't there is the desire to openly communicate. He blurts things out, when he wants something, or when he thinks something is funny. Other than that he is silent. Speech therapy is on order. He is enrolled in therapy in the local school district (once a week) and through childrens hospital (also once a week)...

Whatever, I think that there is still something behind the causation of this infernal thing that is hurting our kids. Whether it is environmental or not, introduced (through shots, innoculations or what ever you want to call them) by man or not. Something is amiss. Look no farther than the fact that the world health organization introduced hcg into tetanus vaccinations given ONLY to women of childbearing ages in Africa, Mexico and in the Phillipines. After the initial shot they had to recieve "boosters" every couple o' months... What did this do? Well, when ths hcg was introduced to the females body, she developed antibodies towards it (the way that flu shots work) except that it did not react against tetanus. It reacted against the women getting pregnant. Any of the women that were given these shots and booster that got pregnant, were basically still able to concieve. They were not; however, able to carry the fetus past the first month or two because their bodies were reacting against the fetus, again like a flu shot (get rid of the invading "organism" kind of thing...)...

Check out flouride in the water and its real effects. Where the US government got the idea from. The additive flouride - the stuff that men add to the water supply that is supposed to give us strong teeth and bones. Add to this the flouride in the toothpaste that we use and you can get something called dental flourosis which actually crystallizes your teeth and causes them to decay and rot and blah, blah, blah... There have been studies (in New Zeland for instance) that have shown that kids that drink non-flouridated water had teeth that were a lil' bit healthier than those of the kids drinking the flouridated water...

Aluminum, which would normally be passed through the body when you sit down on the toilet, is more easily absorbed into the body when flouride is present. Aluminum in the body is a neuro toxin, isn't it?

Rant over...

Sorry. About the rant. Just that I have been finding little things here and there that just do not make since...and these are just a few of them. If the gov'ts are supposed to take care of us, then why is it that they are allowing this to be done to us?

Re: Autism Causes?

Thank You, for your backing there Kris... I sure have come to find that a great majority of the members here are really caring and willing to help. Right now, Ferris jr is on "vacation" from his therapy... The therapist through the hospital is on leave and will not be back until sometime in the beginning of August and the one at the public school, well, they are on summer vacation.

I guess we are going to be looking into moving to an area nearby that has a school that has a pre school and kinder and early grades set up to meet the needs of children that are autistic, or fall in to the ASD umbrella. It will probably about 4 miles away from where we currently live. Different school + different district & town = different rules. Since he would fit into the program that is being run at this, he would be accepted. The snag being that we do not live in the area and do not pay the "local taxes" there, so he can't attend. Thus the need to move.

Mrs. Ferris has been looking into the chelation (?) diet, where you cut out A WHOLE LOT of different foods that are supposed to be problematic towards kids with autism. Getting rid of bread made with wheat, milk and other things. Hey, if it is going to help, then I guess we are going to try it. We have read about heavy metal detoxes, both the foot soak and foot pad varities, only problem being that when it was done to a kid that was autistic, he regressed... That is something that a parent of an autistic kid just wouldn't want, AT ALL.

Again, I will keep you all informed. I work, mama stays home. So, I do not have near as much time to worry about what is going on as she does. I am going into this as open minded and "positive" as I possibly can... Any input, insight, whatever you want to call it is more than welcome here or in PM. From all of you out there.

Again, Thank You Kris,

Ferris, Ferris jr & Mrs. Ferris

Re: Autism Causes?

You are very welcome Ferris.

I understand the school issue - the UK does not really have enough specialist schools, so we have what is referred to as a 'postcode lottery'; ie it's the luck of the draw, based upon where you live. Fortunately for us we have a superb local school that has a lot of expertise with autism. The Kris Jnr is about to move on to a higher college ( he's 16) that runs specialist courses in tandem with more mainstream stuff. Without the help of such a superb junior school it would have been hard to get him this far.

The dietary issue is interesting - I've read much comment on this from various sources. Although we've never tried any of it out, it does seem to have some credibility. Gluten is reckoned by many to have some connection with autism. I read one story of some parents who's child was literally chewing the carpet - it sounds bizarre, but he was addicted to the gluten used in the glue ! My own son opts for pasta any time there is a choice, and I think that contains gluten, so perhaps that lends weight to the theory. Also, I've met many cases where autistic children have digestive problems. Curious. I haven't yet encountered any good evidence for why such a link should exist, but it may well be worth exploring further.

One of the other 'oddities' that has always puzzleed me is the ratio of male to females with autism - almost the same as dislexia. 4:1. I doubt there will ever be any such thing as a 'cure' for ASD, but dietary intervention may be able to help. Well worth looking into. The best help is, of course, yourself and Mrs Ferris.

Much best wishes to you all,

Kris & Family.

Re: Autism Causes?

I have heard of this, it seems that the males brain is more affected by the immunizations that are administered to infants/toddlers because the girls' body (for some reason) is more capable of cleaning out the aluminum and the mercury/themierosol and what ever else you might want to throw in there. I agree it is very hmmm, peculiar that 75% more males are affected by this issue than females. That is why I included what I did in my response earlier. I seriously wonder what it is that the powers that be are up to. (well as an aside... this could almost be in my 'conspiracy theory' forum... they, the powers that be, want to lower the population of the world...,.... again conspiracy theories abound in this thought...).

I look forward to learning more from you and others, Mrs Ferris is on an Autism mailer that has a lot of info for parents in it, it is called the Autism homepage and then there is MSN autism group page...

Gotta go have company and we are going to be cooking Carne Asade out by the pool...

Thanks again my Friend

Ferris

We are reducing autims symptoms in a group of 400 families using non-GM/GMO food sources to replenish a Severe Thiocyanate Deficiency in the kids that is shutting down the Neutrophils and the Respiratory Immune System and the Mucosal Immune System too.

The kids in the group are Congenital Lyme Induced Autism kids who went down within a couple of weeks of their 2nd year vaccines. We are not yet through the entire 17 week protocol to eliminate the Lyme and co-infections yet.

Re: Autism Causes?

L.A.: Daughter, Autism and PANDAS, age 13

Phase one: She is doing Great! C. is talking in more complete and complex sentences and is so interested in other children now

Phase 2. Day 29 She is speaking in more complete sentences and now tolerates me putting her hair up in a clip every day which makes her feel so pretty. Additionally, she is now able to have good behavior if I want to take her clothes shopping and has tried on clothes on two different occasions. This is huge in my book! She is more interested in children but doesn't know really how to interact, but I am thrilled that social skills are developing. Overall, she is continuing to progress in all areas but at times has a lot of vocal stimming. I don't think this is recovery but it is definitely helping her develop higher level skills.

Phase 2 Day 58: PHASE 2 GAINS C. continues to be more social and engaged with the world. She is so interested in interacting with new people. She also doesn’t pay attention to dogs and only cats but now is noticing dogs at the park and last week pet a few! She has started singing along to songs she searches for on you tube instead of just listening quietly. She has decrease in OCD behavior. She is now able to refine her life skills (showering, mopping and washing windows ) by use of video modeling instead of just ABA therapy. She is doing expected simple chores without being told like rinsing dishes and putting them in dishwasher, putting things away and generally cleaning up. Some biting behaviors during the last 2 weeks but all about gone away in the last 3 days So maybe the biting was some kind of a flare of Babs and bartonella as others have mentioned. It was not that bad

***********************************************************************************L.T: son, 22, Severe Autism, Lyme Disease, and very violent

My son independently gave me a hug today. First time in 22 years. Thank you for that Will Wiegman and DE. I have PTSD. I thought he was going to hit me. It was so unexpected and I am always afraid to let the walls down. But, in that moment, I melted.

Update: Methylation tanks between kinesiology appts. First time ever, holding at over 80%, and that is not even at full dose of seed and wcb, and 2 weeks in.

***********************************************************************************

L.J.: son, Autism, severe, non verbal

Little update on my son. We had a real crisis last night! After 3d dose of Ivermectin we've got bounds of aggression that would not stop. Had to do two enemas and a dose of MicroSilica (first time on this protocol) just to stop him attacking me!

He is on day 23 of phase 2 and 10th dose of abx as of today. Much better day today, so parasites are the biggest coinfection of Lyme for my son as it seems! Light sensitivity has also increased but other then that, he seems better on abx days then off days and Ivermectin days are the worst. My kids are considered apraxic. Could not converse... Except maybe something once a year or so. Now things more clear..not just scripting words. Older was severe apraxia. No conversation. Had to really take it easy introducing foods or seizures and rage. But they are tolerating everything more now etc. They were considered non verbal for most part for many years. Now they will state back and try to answer....it's emerging more and more. ********************************************************************************** M.W.S.: Son 17, Severe PANDAS

We are one week of the apricot kernels today. He has post nasal drip and his nose runs. He has had a fever since Saturday. He often coughs until he vomits. He has no appetite and is much lower energy than usual. He looks as sick as we have always known he was. We are still trying to ramp up on seeds again after the initial herx. He is still getting a runny nose and postnasal drip at night. That leads to vomiting some mornings. His disposition has been great!! Good things are happening!!❤

Phase two: We are almost 4 weeks in. My little man is having diarrhea. Mood is good the last few days though.

5/25: My DS is having terrible diarrhea today. It has been getting progressively worse. Mood is good.

********************************************************************************** M.B.: My son G. is 13.5 yrs, ASD, 6 apricot seeds/day, and 7 drops wild cherry bark 3/day

Stage 1 - 3.5 weeks : At first week just on seeds we saw more awareness and more appropriate play, increase in words, and wanting to join the family in our activities. We are really digging the apricot kernels. I have been taking them myself for a few months for cancer prevention. My 13yr old ASD son is speaking more words not conversation yet but more of a Echolalia and just a ton more. And it seems he's more aware and more vibrant just glowing. It's possible I'm just seeing what I hope for so only time will tell. All my NT kids and ASD son are at 2 kernels 3x a day. A bit of a runny nose for a few of us, cold symptoms.

update: At 3 + weeks now included drops which began 2 weeks ago we have grumpiness, back to being secluded, back to hardly any words. Did have a day where he slept in till 1 but was fine after so not sure if he is killing something in his body right now or not

3/23 - I just said "G., you have to play something else." To my 13 yr old ASD son who never ever plays with toys. He was playing so much with his brother that his brother got bored. So I told him to choose something else and he did. Awesome

3/25 - Phase 1 and precursor foods: G. could sing before starting protocol but it has been about 9 months since he last sang. I caught G. singing along to a very meaningful song. The words are the perfect message."I wont give up!" So I would attribute this to the kernels

5/3/2016: Amazing Autism recovery happening at my house!!! G. said "Thank you Mommy." I asked for what? And he said "For healing me!" Then he had a back and forth conversation with his Dad that included 3 sentences. Praise God the true healer!!! He has been playing with toys like crazy today!!! Real pretend play including all the words the characters say. He was very limited verbal like less then 10 words per week before we started the foods and the protocol. Today he was playing so well with his brother I couldn't stop them for bedtime!!! Who cares? I've waited 14 yrs for this. He can sleep in tomorrow.

5/3/16: This is how it has gone for us overall so far. G. age 14 autism, starting ATEC 67 phase 1 ATEC 54, great stuff on first 2 weeks of phase 1 with just the amygdalin rich foods. More awareness more involved with siblings and family increase in some words, some return of singing. Then things turned to crazy hyper less sleep aggression less words more stimming.

Phase 2: ATEC drops to 45 in first week big die off tiredness, vomiting, nauseous, a bit more use of words, going outside more with siblings. 2 weeks in now we have hyperactivity silly nonsense words and vocal stimming also playing with different toys and still going outside more. First question ever asked! We are in the herx weeks of lyme treatment, so we are happy.

5/10: Awesomeness !!! G. had another first : shared his own thought to me verbally. After I helped him shower and brush teeth I handed him his PJs and said put these on and I left the bathroom. Then I heard him yelling Mommy that's funny. So he comes to my room and says Mommy look jamie pants on backwards. I told him that's ok just go turn it around and he left my room laughing at the funny situation. ********************************************************************************** M.L.: Triplets, All with Autism, non verbal

My boys are doing very well on the seeds. I am thrilled. One twin up to 4 per day and the other up to 3. I notice that if they go too long without food they get aggressive or sad. Also if they skip the seeds the same thing can happen! My DD is my biggest challenge now. She is my PANS girl and is highly infected with parasites in her head/gut/sinus. She is extremely sensitive to the seeds and I think they are bringing out the strep that is lodged in her throat. So it is a delicate balance ramping up the seeds. I had gotten her up to 2 recently and she tanked. Now I have to start over again. It is a slow process but I am so hopeful. I just have to be patient and go very slowly with her. Behaviors have improved for all with the seeds, after some very bad herxing at first. **********************************************************************************

M.B.: WCBDs are killing us with sleeping, we are up to 8 drops.

But today he was so verbal...had to ask him to say things, but he was saying so much more words strung together. He was amazing at the grocery store. He expanded what he wanted me to draw in a big way. He chose a salt bath (over mud) and proceeded to play with cars in the tub like a normal kid. He lined them up and then took turns pushing them into the water, he drove them under a tunnel I built with suction cups, he pushed suction cups together. These were all firsts. He had fun all by himself and I just watched.

3/23: Good gains here on the WCBD and kernels. What I noticed most the past couple of days is an increase in pretend play with a huge variety of toys, vs only reenacting movie scenes with 2 toys. Also he is speaking more complete thoughts, although all still about the same stuff, not really communicating. For example, I draw lots of clocks and get told what time to draw on them. He started by just pointing to a number and saying it, "one". For me to draw a line to the number one, I had to guess if it was the minute or hour hand. Today he is saying, "hour hand points to the one". That's a mighty big step up!!

5/4/16: Update: Yesterday B tried riding a bike twice!!! No frustration, only excitement. The neighbor boys let him borrow theirs. One is one of the ones who comes looking for B periodically. So I have been talking to him about getting a bike and he seems excited. So tonight we stopped at a bike store. He was so happy. We didn't get anything, just looking, but he was so happy, he just kept touching them and smiling!

5/9: Hello 2 weeks herx on day 12!! Napping before lunch. Was weepy while falling asleep. Can't wait to see what happens on the other side of this!! Comfort measures and waiting. Bye bye lyme!!! We has a Strider that he would scream bloody murder if you even tried to show it to him, so this feels like a gain!!

5/10: b got these construction letters off the shelf and Nanny K. showed him how to use the letter cards to figure out which pieces he needs to make each letter and then he made this all by himself! Says airplane. These seeds and foods rule. This protocol rules!

5/14: This is new. He is dancing! Yeah, he's got my moves!

Phase 2 D18: Day 18, vomit. But he feels ok. 3 hours after meds, so that is good. Now napping. Hello 2-3 week herx! We just had a meltdown because we didn't go to the airport and get in an airplane. Even mentioning watching toy story didn't make him happy. Lyme kill! Now he's watching toy story and doing ok

5/20: Several big deals/gains in this video that you may not know: 1) he is reading. (pretty obvious) Each page has an opening sentence about the duck on the bike and then goes like this: "Hello Cow," said Duck. "Moooo" said cow. But what he really thought was.... (it is hard to understand him sometimes, no time for closed captions.)2) I had told him earlier, after we finished skyping with gma, that I wanted to record him reading so grandma could see. He independently went and got the book to read.3) I asked him if he was ready to read for grandma and have me video tape. he said yes. Usually for me he doesn't like selfie videos and will scream "all done" at me if I try to do it.4) He put his arm around me a lot in the video. This type of affection is very new and I love it!!!

5/21: P2 D21 first ever ride in the car cart at the grocery store. He barely fit in it but was super excited about it. Previously if I even looked at it he'd say "all done". And he had his green balloon with him. **********************************************************************************

M.S.T.: son, Autism

We just started the foods. I don't know if it is my imagination or what, but we went to supermarket and I say loud to myself,“Ok what line do I pick to pay? He SAYS, “I want line 8.” SO LINE 8 it is. Let the healing begin... 1 almond, 1 drop of iodine and 10 drops of pinella to start. Lets see what brings tomorrow...THANK YOU ********************************************************************************** N.S.: 11 years old son, severe Autism, non verbal

PH I Thiocyanate Precursor foods only: 6 kernels, 7 drops wcbd, and 2 drops of iodine

All right u all this is our day!!! My son H. is 11 has never tried to wash himself and tonight i said can u wash your armpits and neck as i showed him how and he did it!!All with a smile!! He has not played with his toys much but now is totally obsessed!! Visual stimming and motorcycle hands... However look at how he responds to me when i talk to him!! (video) He seems more interested in his toys!! Update: My son has found many ways to talk to me without words!! He also is eating new foods and has decided he likes goulash as long as i chop it all together in the food processor... So tonight he was signing yes in the kitchen and i said H., i do not know what u want in the kitchen there are millions of things in there so he opened the fridge took out the leftover goulash and handed it to me then took me to the sink where the food processor was sitting drying and pointed to it... He totally knows exactly what he wanted to eat and how he wanted me to make it. *********************************************************************************** N.A.W.: Age 13 88lbs 5 drops WCB 4 kernels daily for three weeks I’m not seeing allergies anymore, but no other changes yet. Allergies gone is still a big deal. ***********************************************************************************N.K.C.: April 15 at 5:20pm · Fort Valley, GA, United States Day 1 of

Phase I foods: During phase I my son had a mild fever, we stayed in Phase 1 for about 4 weeks. I gave him an enema and his fever went away. My son never makes fevers. A doctor once told me that is why he can never get well. Fevers are good.

Phase II. His behavior is wild! He's hyper and loud. He was super calm Monday-Wednesday. A little hyper yesterday and very hyper today. No aggression though and we've had that problem BIG time in the past. I've given him an enema today. Those who do enemas what do you use? I'm glad that I started phase II today where I can watch him. Tomorrow his private therapist is supposed to come to the house in the morning I'm tempted to call and cancel.

4/14: He's just so loud! Stomping through the house and clapping his hands.

4/17: He's loud. But, not as loud as he was on Friday.

5/8 This has been a fantastic Mother's Day!!! Our only issue is constipation.

5/17: My son has been great for about two weeks (tomorrow). Constipation is the only issue that we have dealt with. I think this protocol is amazing! We are on phase 2 day 32. His teacher is pregnant and they had a bowling trip and field day. Both of these events were great for him. Update: My son's behavioral issues are much easier to manage.

***********************************************************************************N.B.: 16 year old, Autism, severe, My son suffers with constipation.

I've tried everything and continue to do so. Have to give enema if it goes a few days. He just had a BM ,looked healthy and colour was right. Dark brown instead of pale beige. So something goods happening on these foods!

4/3: So tonight we're getting pacing back and forth. Haven't seen this in years. Definitely re-tracing. More inappropriate laughter, fingers in front of eye, clawing up fingers up against face. Seems dazed.

5/14:My son seems better but not using anymore language than usual.

5/18:Today I asked my son what he did at school. he usually replies played or playing. Today I asked him what he did at school and he replied running. He was right. Today they had track and field competitions: ) Also great looking bm's. We are less than 2 weeks away from finishing abx and starting TRIBIOTICS. ********************************************************************************** ****

P.B.: Hello - A quick update. We are going slow introducing the foods with Amygdalin in them. We are at 2 kernels and 4 drops of WBC. Also doing 1 drop of iodine 2% on the wrist in the mornings.

Phase 1 Foods we are seeing the following:- parasites and mucous being released, Return of Old Symptoms such as old verbal stims, hiccoughs, and today large bowel movements (3 in the evening), strange laughter for which we used Burbur for this and it helped. We haven't seen elevated temperatures or flu like symptoms. We do have increased urination.

Will Wiegman : If you look at this chart you will see that peeing is controlled in two different places. If the body is clearing inflammation on that side the inflammation will increase a little bit for a couple days as the activated mucosal immune system starts to work again as the neutrophils mobilize and get busy.

***********************************************************************************

We started the protocol with our 67 pound 12 year old son three weeks ago. We are on 4 apricot kernels and 6 drops of WCBs. We notice the following:-• Good physical energy• Elimination of Parasites, Parasites skins, mucous • Better Speech and Articulation• More interactive On the Downside • He has more OCDs. We are revisiting things we had completely forgotten such as obsession with running water (e.g. in the flush and wash basin)!, visual OCDs• Disturbed sleep- we have 2 apricot kernels in the am and two in the early evening. He stayed awake most of the night. Today we finished giving apricot kernels (at two different times) by the afternoon. • Frequent urination• We also see a lot of saliva being generated – so he makes slurpy sounds quite often. We have associated this with mercury release in the past.

In addition, he seems to have developed a bit of a sensory issue across his skin – to explain, he takes his hand and very lightly and slowly runs it over his skin, barely touching it – we have seen him doing this over his eyes as well. Questions:Is it typical to see a mixture of reactions? While we are seeing some good things, the OCDs and negatives are a bit worrying since we thought we had overcome many of these.

WW: There are subsystems of the Immune System that will start to work again. On the surface of the eyes and on the inside of the eyelids in the sweat glands there exists part of the Respiratory Immune System. Just under the skin is another part of the Immune System that protects us from surface bacteria like Staph. When these system are shut down by the thiocyanate deficiency, no Immune Response happens so the bacteria can live in the pores of the skin and in the sweat glands under the eyelids and some on the surface of the eye. These will get attacked along with any mold or fungi living in the skin pores or sweat ducts too. Lasts about a week or so from my experience. **********************************************************************************

P.L.A.:

5/19: We are all on phase one here. We have introduced the seeds and foods. My daughter had a mucousy poop in the middle of the night last night. My immediate thought was that it was this protocol but I'm wondering if that is reasonable. She has lots of gut issues but I haven't seen mucus in her poop before. WW: The body makes mucous to safely escort things out of the body

********************************************************************************** P.V.K.:

4/16: My Peter couldn't print without tracing except for a pretty illegible printing of his name. We are only on 1 1/2 seeds and he's printed the alphabet twice, independently. This is amazing stuff!! ********************************************************************************** R.R.:

Phase 1. Why is my son eating constantly? Don't get me wrong I’m excited because he is trying new things and eating so much. He is very low percentile for growth so I'm hoping he will pack on some pounds but he has been waking up in the middle of the night and signing eat and waking up around 530 every morning starving. I feed him and as he is finishing his meal he walks to the fridge for more food. He is a hungry little monster until you feed him. He didn't eat great before starting wcb and seeds. **********************************************************************************

R.P.: daughter is 11, severe Autism (video)

Phase I: Sierah had a rough day when we started WCB but in the evening we saw some amazing things. She was so cuddly and interactive. We haven't seen this in years!!!! It was the best gift my hubby got in a long time. ********************************************************************************** R.F.: 5 yo Dup15q/ASD/ Lyme dx, 4 yo Lyme/ mthr mutation. And me, too.

Phase one:Kids are on iodine/ wcb drops & iodine, just started seeds. I started first & feel amazing, on iodine, 6 drops, & 10 seeds. I've lost 10 pounds & have better energy, after bouts of serious scary brain fog Starting abx in 3 weeks. As for my kids, lots of weird bms & runny noses so far

**********************************************************************************

R.S. son, Autism, non verbal

4/14: Day 25 abx 10 drops WCB 3 kernels We are seeing lots of hyperactivity, verbal stimming just very wild and can't sit still. WELL.....TODAY MY SON SANG TWO SENTENCES OF HIS FAVORITE SONG. I was getting him ready for a bath and he looked at me and sang 2 sentences. My husband came running and we just stared and we're quiet we didn't know what to do!! HE CAN TALK. HE WILL TALK. LESSON OF THE DAY: HEALING IS HAPPENING IT JUST LOOKS LIKE HELL!!

4/12: Update on my 7 yr old son, today is day 54, about a week ago he stopped sleeping through the night. He wakes up at 330 or 430 a.m. since the beginning of protocol that was our first gain.

Day 51 and 52 HE STOPPED STIMMING. We all didn't know what to do with ourselves. He started to play games in the playroom, that part of autism I thought had fallen away. The yesterday VERY AGGRESSIVE scratching, biting, pushing hitting, screaming. Today, up at 3:30 a.m. and stimming. Just sharing this roller coaster ride with everyone. Not sure what to think anymore...No, the aggression to this level was never part of his symptoms. He would hit his head and chest but that came and went. Now he's beating the shit out of everyone else. He's pooping regularly thankfully. I'm not stopping protocol we'll push thru it JUST SUCKS is all.

5/25: Update on my 7 yr old son, we finished phase 2 last Tuesday and since then he's been pale, pale lips not eating well, not acting himself at all. Obviously not starting phase 3 yet because phase 2 took a toll on him. We went to ER and his iron is low. Is this from killing lyme? It wasn't low before.

ww: The immune system is still clearing inflammation and short sleep nights do not allow enough time to clear it all out of the CSF. The effects of Babesia become more pronounced with Borrelia gone too because the spirochetes suppress the body's reactions to all the chronic co-infections. WW: Fluctuating anemia throughout babs treatment is normal since you are dealing with an infection inside the red blood cells. Ask your doctor about this. **********************************************************************************

Re: Autism Causes?

09/22/2016 3:26 AM

So I started this thread many, many years ago.

It has definitely been an eye opening learning experience. It is a ride that is akin to a roller coaster.

We had Jr tested - the whole kit and kaboodle of tests, blood, poop and pee. We found a Dr who specialized in kids on the Spectrum and he has only seen him since. He was found to be allergic to Gluten - the main protein in wheat and Casein - the main protein in milk. Eggs were on there and a few other things to boot.

He was put on an antifungal for several rounds and an antibacterial and after all of this was finished he had a few bouts of Valtrex, or an anti viral (he had been exposed to epstein - barr virus or mono)

He is a champ and learned to take all sorts of pills, from probiotics for his gut flora to zinc for his stimming and on and on.

He started talking before his first birthday and then after his series of shots, he went silent.

Now? He is non stop sometimes. His communications are still jumbled and there is a big gap in ability to understand him for people who try to talk with him. He still spins on occasion..his way of dealing with stuff (whether it is good or bad). He has turned into quite an artist. If I could figure out how to load a pic here I would show off his skills.

He has come a long way but still has far to go. His diagnosis was originally Pervasive Developmental Disorder. It has since been changed to straight Autism.

Teach your kids to love and respect others, please. That is something that I know - kids...people that are on the spectrum or easy targets for bullies, hell easy targets for being taken advantage of. I have learned a lot in the last 8 years but this something that I can not do for anyone other than my kids.

Pass it on.

It sounds like Jr is coming along great ! Very often parents/family of autistic people don't get any acknowledgement for all the daily work. It becomes second nature, but it's still nice if once in a while people notice how much devotion it takes. Hat's off to you and family.

If you have time, check out Stephen Wiltshire. He has an astonishing ability to recall images, and on documentaries I've seen he comes across as a really nice guy. The latter point is what I like.

I'm no expert, but I think Epstein Barr is fairly common. I should stop being lazy and have a quick check, but the main point is that if Jr has any illnesses it's important that medical folk know what meds he's on - interaction and all that. I know I'm talking to somebody who's well clued up, but you never know who might scope by our chats here. No harm in what Basil Fawlty would call 'statin the bleedin obvious' !

That virus is the same as the mononeucliosis (?) virus... I'll check out that guy.

Jr has an amazing memory...with movies and music and drawing. Sometimes he brings up the old "remember when you told me this?" thing and I am dumbfounded...

Memory abilities can be amazing. Even apart from autistic people, I alwas fell it important to see that all have abilities. Dyslexic, Autistim, Physically disabled, all people have an area of skill.

Without the 4 circled plant compounds to act as trickle cargers to the Essential Amino Acid metabolisms the production of glutamate stalls. Gluten buildup results in sensitivity to it, it's not really an allergy.

Re: Autism Causes?

It's human to want to find causes, but you'll get bogged down in contending theories, many of which are just close enough to rational to sound correct even though they're total BS.

We have family friends whose now-23-year-old daughter is profoundly autistic. Her dad has spent the last 20 years doing research: identifying and contacting every medical/psychological specialist he could find. Sifting through all manner of therapies. Organizing parental support groups. And this family has enough money to do anything at all that they think will help. They used to hire a small business's worth of staff to work with their daughter, I mean literally her mom managed a payroll of 5-6 people.

Bottom line: nothing has worked for this kid. Knowing everything they know has probably caused her parents more heartache than anything. Both parents are beyond exhausted. Doesn't matter why she is the way she is.

Then there's the case of the autistic young man who's graduating from the Univ. of South Carolina this year and then going to Oxford on a Rhodes scholarship.

If your son is on the ASD but high-functioning, he will be fine. Don't worry about the why. Focus on figuring out the best ways to help him. Check out Temple Grandin. Best wishes to you and your family.

You make some excellent points, though referring to the prolific Temple Grandin as an example is questionable in my opinion. She is only one person. Certainly a person to be held in high regard, but just one individual.

As you suggest, it's all too easy to get bogged down in looking for a 'magic bullet' solution. 'Been there, done that, got the t-shirt' is the usual Brit expression. My son is now 25 and gets along pretty good. The 'experts' told us he would never be able to speak or read etc, but he could now kick their ass in many areas.

Yes my friend...this is like jr. He will sit down and draw stuff in 3D. Kids his age are doing stick figures and circle heads...

He is in 6th grade now but has vocabulary of an 11th grader but it is his decoding skills that are hurting - understanding what is going on in the story and what not.

Check out Stephen Lawrence. He has an amzing talent that nobody can explain. Again, he's just an individual. but it does further the point that all people have a gift if we just look enough.

Re: Autism Causes?

01/28/2017 1:11 PM

I believe that there are those who are born with it and then there are those who, for whatever reasons (vaccines induced or environmental reasons) fall under the broad strokes of what ASD is defined to be.

Temple Grandin was a child who couldn't be touched, made no progress like other kids of her age...the doctors said that she needed to be institutionalized but her mother fought it and through perseverance she became the person she is today...a phD an MA and on and on.

I saw a researcher speak many years ago....he came to a conclusion after much studying. It was that from the second trimester on, kids with Autism were found to have heads bigger then there peers and brains bigger then there peers. He talked at length about this but shrugged his shoulders about why all of a sudden these kids all fall under the shroud of ASD.

.....so many things that are known and available to see but most parents DO NOT WANT TO OPEN THEIR EYES. A simple viewing of the insert should be enough but most people aren't willing to do so...

Re: Autism Causes?

In the case of Congenital Lyme kids with ASD, they were born normal but nearly totally Thiocyanate deficienct which prevented them from making antibodies or processing the vaccines or clearing the inflammation caused by the huge load of antibiotics which finally completely eliminated ALL thiocyanate in their bodies for their B-Cells, Neutrophils and other forms of white blood cells to use.

We have then talking on un-altered GM/GMO food supplements and amygdalin supplements like Novodalin. They can sing too, sometimes their first words are singing along with their favourite cartoon DVD theme song.

They have their personalities, great senses of humor, opinions and intellectual curiosity and social skills intact.

All that went away when inflammation in their spinal cords and brain stem, inflammation in the glial apparatus of the brain and Borrelia affected adenoids that added to their inability to turn of the Flight or Fight response which was also responsible for their avoidance of eye contact which turned out to be their peripheral vision going full operational from the Fight or Flight being stuck in the ON mode.

They were looking at you with their peripheral vision because their center vision was in the Deer in the Headlights mode.

There is more too, we have videos of the cured kids telling of their experience of being trapped inside their own bodies, in pain from the Lyme, frustrated by their inability to speak, hindered by their inability to turn short term memories into long term memories as well as the normal ability to assemble a full sentence before speaking it.

The 400 families volunteered along with their Doctors (after the CDC lifted the two week limit on Lyme treatment), their special ed teachers, and their psychiatrists.

A few of the families were third generation Congenital Lyme sufferers, all of which were able to get reliable positive tests for Lyme after three weeks of unaltered food allowed thiocyanate levels to rise and antibodies made again in sufficient numbers to show up on the blot tests.
