RadioShack has a very good spray contact cleaner. About $10/can.

CRC makes a line of electrical cleaners. Some are available in auto part stores.

instrumentman36,

I have had little success with contact cleaners over the years, especially in the previous millenium when contacts were more prevalent. The wiping action of most contacts tends to discourage contamination problems. Usually when contacts start to cause problems, it is because the plating has worn or arced off. Cleaning may then remove the syptoms for a while, but when the oxide has formed again on the base metal, the problem is back. Consider replacing the contacts, which even on a multi-gang, multi-position switch is not that bad a job.

Thanks LG Dave for the reply

You are right, thats the reason I was looking for an answer from some one that has had up to date experience with whats out there in the world. My problem is more to the non-use side. It hasn't been used much, so the wear part should not be a problem. So I was going to give it a try first and then replace if that fails.

LPS no-flash electric contact cleaner would be my first choice, available in most auto parts stores like O'Reilly's (a common Texas chain).

there is a great product out there called 'cramolin'. it cleans and preserves the contacts. you can get it in a spray or in a small jar to swipe with a Qtip. great stuff.

I've heard good things about it, but never have used it. Try this link (be sure to use the "English" option unless you're fluent in German.
