Fellow engineers, as you know this pest is savaging the
forests of British Columbia with great impact in a vicious cycle of
global warming.
The challenge is to stop this devastation without impinging on the environment.
I remember reading that Selenium (a component of garlic) was used to
prevent deer from eating saplings as the substance was absorbed by
their roots.
I wonder if the beetles would be also allergic to garlic.
Any idea?
