Guest: Many years ago there was a college text book on Strength of Materials by a 'Timoshenko' that dealt with odd shaped vessels etc. The formulas can be derived from the generalized dimensions of a torus and then applied to a specific torus. If you have done your homework meticulously you can submit them to this committee (CR4Forum) for examination and critiquing.

Since a torus is a double curved surface you have your work cut out for you.

Huy, everybirdy,I'd some formulas, of my own! Tiny questions? what, curves radius of,pressure? what loadstrain in tire.doughnut? Need main line, relations.

Much,double plus big,help,,offered!

cheers,

Pard,..you might be better off to communicate with Michelin, BF Goodrich, etc. and present your request to them. There is a tire catalog on several of the Emergency Vehicle Technician websites that can well demonstrate why certain tires, based on technical considerations, (weight, roll, stopping, starting, turning resistance, etc.). There is a Northern California Emergency Vehicle Technicians Association that has an excellent link to a very informative tire catalog that we have been using when we need to verify what tires should be on our fire and rescue units.

Good luck.

Thanks, but my doubts are theorical question for different purposes than tires like "the internal diameter of a tiretube becomes smaller or bigger when you inflate that?" in fact i am intested in some kind of bellows.Yesterday,i could find a site what sells you the standards for manufacture formulas for design.I am not going to try for that path.I'll see the way to write the equations here. Thanks again.
