	I am having at the possibility of mixing the combination of fluids in a pipe chamber by the spinning the flowing liquid mixture in pipe. My intent is to spin the liquids in clockwise direction and further downstream at a distance of say 150 mm in the opposite direction. I am hoping that the liquid will mix thoroughly in the 150mm section of the spool. In my case the fluids enter tangentially in a Mixing TEE and later flows through a section of pipe. Installation of a mixer in the TEE is not possible, hence trying to use the energy in the pipe to spin the fluids. I expect wear of the spin section of pipe. I am hoping that the fluid will mix in the 150 mm section spool, between the two spins. Would anyone like to share their experience or would like to comment on any paper published on this method of mixing fluids? Prem __________________ Prem

	Sardik Mixers provide numerous of different mixing applications. One of their many products is a pipe-inline mixer. It comprises of many fins in a 1m length pipe. You can get longer pipes or shorter pipes, with different fin sizes and numbers. I have used them in numerous of applicastions, mainly chemical dosing applications. I have added chemicals at 10XDiameter upstream of the pipe-inline mixer, and getting excellent mixing. Only isues you need to be aware of is that there are friction losses involved, so do your home work. Alsso I have found that in some application it can cause pipe vibration, so make sure that you dont add these mixers too close to bends. AussiedownUnder

	Considering your materials enter in a Tee arrangement you may consider a mixing eductor. 	I don't know the design of your mixing TEE, but the best way to get two fluids to mix in a standard piping TEE is for the larger flow to come in through the branch with the minor flow coming in the straight run. If the flows are significantly dissimilar, this arrangement is significantly better than the opposite configuration. Static mixers, or in-line mixers work well as others have said. Two elbows downstream of the TEE oriented in two different planes (and best if also different from the plane of the TEE) will give pretty good mixing unless the flow is very laminar. __________________ All generalizations are false, including this one.
