In the ealy 80s we installed Cantherm brand equipment .Geothermal heatpumps with pvc pipe burried underground through the woods or using wells or ponds .Using brine water to prevent pollution and prevent freezing .I think when oil dropped people gave them up but I wonder if they are still viable systems .Any ideas on cost comparisons?Let me know if you find out .

Our small company...Mactherm, Inc. , Poolesville, Md.. has designed geothermal systems from 3 to 100 tons over the last 25 years.
