S5 Communication

Hi Guys

I got an S5 95U CPU and i would like to go on-line.The S5 program is in a laptop that does not have a serial port but only USB ports.How can i connect to the cpu,via which cable?

You can get a USB to RS232 converter at almost any PC outlet. You may need a special low lever driver though depending on how the program access the RS232 registers.

You can also use the Bafo BF-810 USB to serial convertor. The company I work for wrote programming software for the S5s and we have tested and recommend the Bafo over everything else. This is the convertor that we have found worked best for that device. Go to www.bafo.com You can get it there.
