bandwidth of system and input

05/09/2008 12:41 PM

Hi
first i apologize if i couldn't write my question good. I haven't read any book in Linear Control Systems in English.
We have a system with the following frequency response:
M(jw)=u(t)-u(t-w1) that w1 > 0
( i.e. M(jw)=1 for 0<w<w1 and M(jw)=0 for w>w1 )
We give the system an input signal with the following frequency response
R(jw)=u(t)-u(t-w2) that w2 > 0
( i.e. R(jw)=1 for 0<w<w2 and R(jw)=0 for w>w2 )
and we have w2 > w1
the question is that what happens for the frequencies between w1 and w2 and why?
