Sensor Guru needed...any ideas?

05/21/2008 5:52 PM

Forgive my intrusion...but thought I'd find the best engineering minds around, sharing technology tid bits on this site!! I'm looking for a savvy systems hardware design engineer in the area of sensor systems, along with working knowledge of analog circuity. I'm with National Semi, and would love your ideas. Great oppty! Visibility plus more...

Thanks for taking a moment :o)

On the home page for CR4 you will find a link for http://www.dice.com/, that is specific to technical positions. There is also a site called http://www.automationtechies.com/, that is even more specific to: Recruiting Services for Direct-hire and Contract Automation, Process Control, Instrumentation and Manufacturing Engineers and Other Technical Professionals.

Perhaps a little more info would help. Where in the world? This site gathers globally (note the GLOBALspec). Perhaps I am speaking "out of turn", but I don't think that "Visibility" is a major concern for most of the people on this site. And I don't think that you would like the kind of people for whom it was a concern.

For myself, it has been 25 years since I designed my own analog or digital I/O. There have been a lot of changes in that time, so I am not the person that you are looking for; but I have used a lot of your products, like them, and hope you the best of luck.

You are very kind to respond...in terms of visibility I was referring to leading edge technologies of our customers. I should have been more clear. The particular opportunity that I'm sharing would be seated at our Corporate headquarters in Santa Clara, CA. Although, National Semiconductor has opportunities domestic, and international.

Thanks for your thoughtful words about our products :o) We do our best to address the current needs of our customers. We continue to work very hard on your future needs as well!

Regards,

Marsha

Marsha,

I tried to email you through the CR4 system but could not figure out how to send the email.

I would like to refer a Sensor Guru to you. Please email me at mike_mcweeny@msn.com and I will reply with a Great Guru Candidate.

Thanks, MrHandyMan (Mike McWeeny)

I just HAVE to ask: Is your avatar an actual DOS error message? It wouldn't surprise me if it was real, but going all the way back to the 8088.

Either way, it's very vunny.

Yah know, I'm just not sure myself! I have seen sooo many things, just as weird/stupid/ironic, that it just had that familiar ring to it. It just tickled my funny bone.

God you made me feel old, just mentioning the 8088!

Dear Marsha,

Great offer you are making!

Can you please reword/Repost thus ( if you did mean just that):

We at National Semi would welcome with open arms any SENSING-PREPROCESSING Need of the real world which keep recurring - or will recur- and nobody yet has a Solution/IC/ASIC to handle that-simplify that-format that. The proposer is welcome to offer a way to solve that NEED .

Suggest you contact Stein Engineering Services, Inc.,
Phoenix, AZ area, phone 800-632-7797 or 602-945-4603.
This Organization gives seminars on sensor systems as a
system, not as a bunch of parts.
