Who knows firms delivering high power pulse systems other than Xenon Corp?

How much power do you want?

1kw or 3kw? frequency? rise or down edge?

I want to make a 5 or 6 kW system with a pulse rate of 1 flash/second

The pulse schould be about 1-2 mseconds.

Do you know what type of energy you're really looking at here? Also, are you aware of the cost for flash lamps that large? Also, also, are you aware of the amount of heat you will need to get rid of to run these lamps continuously at 1 pulse per second?

Perkin Elmer optoelectronics sells some large flash lamps and arc lamps (why not just go arc?) Here's their address - www.perkinelmer.com/opto .

Good luck!

Are you sure that your specification is right? It seems too huge to offer.

Maybe others can help you with it.

What I can offer is only below 500W according to your parameters.

Hi cnpower!

These power levels are not unreasonable as long as he's willing to pay for the power and the honking big capacitors and the really expensive flash lamps that he'll need.

Just one word of advice to the poster, "Flash lamps are filled with gas at a much higher pressure than atmospheric pressure." So, if you blow up a lamp, watch out! They don't implode, they explode - violently!!!

I see this power can be made at present. but what I can offer him now is only under 3--500w rate. I can also design one for him, but build it is not easy! it will be too large size.

What is hooking capacitor?

I guess a large enough copacitance by a bank of capacitors.?

I dont think this is a tolerable measure.

just think that you can hardly get such capacitances.

However, we can use our wy to implement.

I think he much make a mistake, or he will use it in atomic reaction accelarators.

"Honking-big" It's a colloquialism meaning really big. For instance "Wow! That's a honking-big dog!!!"

I have no idea where it came from.

that will occupy a football field.

Dear sir,

I am sure. I now have a 2kW system with a pulse rate of 1/sec.

This one has indeed large capacitors.
