	I apologize, my calculations were for the entire planet not just for the United States. 	Hello Guest, The entire USA includes Alaska and Hawaii. You should realise it is impractical to run cables from the 48 states to either of the above. The other principle to remember is the very old one, of eggs and a basket. If your giant single Alternator failed, how are you going to get a replacement made, within at least 2 years. As far as motive power for your single alternator goes, the logistics of bringing fuel to a single central point is impractical. Likewise the radiating out of the Distribution network from a single point, is also impractical. Just my thoughts. 	I guess I asked the wrong question. How many 5 MW generators would be needed to power the entire USA?

	1 MW is enough to power 270 - 300 homes according to AWEA...Hope this helps __________________ bwise

	U want buy 80,000 generators? Cntakt our Asia plant for reel good price. We supply heaps. Work reel good. Othere factories help. U want DC? We supply plenty spares so all never stop.
