Why the VCB's are not used above 33KV?

There was an article on Global Spec the other day regarding SF6 circuit breakers and their advantages. It mostly pertained to comparisons vs ACbs but I'm sure you'll find it informative. Try a search on SF6. Have you ever seen a 66kv SF6 CB explode? Not pretty. Luckily I was checking other parts of the installation when it happened or I wouldn't be typing this. It threw fist sized chunks over 50 metres, ouch.
