09/06/2008 3:18 AM

HI,

I am working on tracker system. now i have to check for wind and snow load conditions.

how exactly snow loads are tested in lab?

Is there any empherical formula for initial design calculation for snow loads.

With Regards,

Go to www.mecaenterprises.com there you will find a wind load calculator.

Dear Wangito ,

I went through the demo version of software. but the software supports only standarad structures like building with pre defined shapes.

Look in the UBC or IBC, there are empirical calculations used for snow load and wind load design requirements in the building codes.
