Foundation Fieldbus Transmiter + HART

09/06/2008 11:42 AM

Pls, am new to Foundation Fieldbus.

1. Pls, how do I zero ( 0% ) a Foundation Fieldbus Pressure transmitter without applying a pressure source.Transducer block or Analog Input block?( Unlike a HART transmitter that has a Zero and Span bottom )

2. Can I terminate a Foundation Fieldbus transmitter and a HART transmitter in the same junctionbox. The FF transmitter would have a MegaBlock unit and the HART a terminal block. I intend useing a 5 pair cable to now run the signals to the control room from the junction box ( HART and FF together ).

The FF Pressure transmitter is a SMAR LD292

G'day Dorsey,

1- You can use magnetic stick -that's with ld292- for this purpose (Following the menu at local display).

2-Bus lines of FF and HART must be galvanically isolated (due to collision!) so do not use same j-box for them.

I'd like to write more but have not enough time 'couse of a business trip.

regards
