Ya Think? May depend upon the level of service demanded of the engine prior to shutting it off.

Does the car start at all? Even a couple seconds?

Is this car equipped with the "Passlock" immobilizer theft deterrent?

If it is so equipped, and it will just "barely" start and immediately dies then try this (as noted in the user manual):

Turn your key to "ON" and leave it there for approximately 10 minutes, until the "Theft" dashlight turns off. Then turn the key off and immediately try to restart.

This is a fairly common problem with the Passlock system - and by doing this, it will reset the system to recognize your key.

Is it just me or or are you serious about this? If you know the oil level is low, why not put a quart in just on the odd chance that the oil pressure switch that turns on the fuel pump really is working?
