Bet you are right, too. However, rather than providing Guest the conversion factor, why not simply give him or her the information needed to calculate the 192 factor and let that person go through the steps?

I know this is a very simple example and, maybe it's just me, but I think it is far more valuable to learn how and be able to derive and develop conversion factors, formulae, etc. than it is to simply memorize them.
You're probably right. I never memorize anything (now that I have the little packet of pictures around my neck, I don't even have to memorize my wife's name). Being a charter OF, I just do the conversion automatically in my head.

There was an effort some time back to use lb-ft (to match Nm) and NIST actually caved in to that dastardly plot to undermine the good old American furlong-grain-fortnight system, but McMaster-Carr still uses ft-lb and I live and die by that yellow catalog.
