Substation Earthing

Dear sir

I am blind in the concept of substation earthing.Please discuss the basics of substation earthing.

I think this is very useful to all our members ( who are beginners in electrical field).

Please read IEEE Std 80 -2000

It gives complete information about substation earthing .

after reading that if there is any further doubts please come back to the thread with further doubts.

I agree with V.I. I did all the important calculations in IEEE 80 by hand, the first time, so when I used the computer program (ETAP) the numbers would be meaningful. It was a tedious 6 to 8 hours but well worth it looking back.
