pump prototype

02/26/2009 8:30 PM

Hi,

I hold a patent for a grey water processing device and I now write to

you to find out if GlobalSpec can help me have parts custom engineered for my prototypes. The device I have designed is a modified pump. I would require expertise in this area as well as the ability to rapid prototype in plastic, such as with a computer and mill.Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated,

Kind regards,

Craig Burton. craig@1p1v.com

Craig, welcome to CR4 forum, but please register as a user then we can identify you in any replies or such to the thread.

Where are you in the world? (put the detail in your registration) I have very good contacts for rapid prototyping in Australia, but if you're in UK or USA they are probably not what you are after.

Very good prototypes are available with silicone mould tools produced from laser sintered master items and these tools are usually good for up to 500 pieces before they start to fray.

Good luck and I'll look this thread back up on Monday when I'm back on line.

In Australia, the company in the attached link has provided us with good service and support over many years. They have been willing to discuss (and as an expert in their field) and train us in the level of information and detail that is required.

SLS models used to make Silicone rapid prototype toos that can then be used to injection mould production level pieces.

If you need help finding an injection moulding shop for production, drop us a line and I could suggest some contacts in Sydney, Melbourne or maybe even at our own plants.

Good luck.

I am talking to Arrk now, they are very helpful, thank you.

Likely I will need engineering support to convert the rough 2D images I have to something that Arrk can sinter.

Best,

Craig.
