How to Cut Aluminum

03/16/2009 4:38 AM

Need to know rpm and in/min feed using 4.0"Dia x .09'Thick x 32 teeth slitting saw in wrought aluminum depth of cut .75" on a Super Max Mill YCM-40. I have been told a low RPM possibly 150-200 and slow feed 2-3" per/min. Any recommendations?

Hello,

Call the CNC manufacturer and the blade manufacturer. They want you to buy more and will normally be a very good resource. They conduct tests all the time to get to the level they are at in the industry and will surely give you the info.

Good Luck
