hi zunaida,

I would imagine it to be thin. what about a rubber film?

if this meets your requirements, you can then google for the material to find vendors.

HTH!

Dear Langyaw....

you are right... it looks like sheet of film.... I know its from rubber..but what kind of rubber used...its synthetic or natural or blend of rubber... i donw know what type of rubber suitable when we use it as seal of glass panel with plastic materials....

for your information..my friend work in industry said that my country didnt manufacture this rubber cushion here...so we need to import from other country...so it very difficult and involve so many tax.... so...as the solution... my friend's factory try to develope their rubber cushion...

this rubber cushion will used in LCD tV.....anyways.... thanks langyaw.....if you have suggestion plss tell me k...im very appreciate it....thankss...

You basically need a soft material which has good life and probably reasonable ozone and some UV resistance. Preferably cheap and readily available.

I'm no expert here, but neoprene and EPDM spring to mind as possibilities.

Many of the polyurethanes would do the job but they tend to be expensive

Good Luck

Hi, I know a company in Unites States who happend to be world's experts in this kind of applications and in extruding a thin sheet of rubber film to your requirements. They are also a research comapny who can accomodate your needs with properties and chemical compatibility requirements. When you are talking about LCD TVs means you are talking about 20 years of life. This thin sheet of film needs to be deformation resistant (Low compression set) and with PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive) backing for easier and faster application.

I would say Neoprene for longevity and non transefring (low Chemical and plasicizer migration), and compression, UV and Ozone resistant properties. But there are so many latest developments in thin film rubber technology. If you need to model this -- you may need Compression Moduli VS Displacement data. I strongly recommend you contact the following
