NXT Tilted Twister - Compile Failed

I have built the NXT Tilted Twister and I am having some problems downloading the last program, tilted twister. Each time I try to download the program, the computer pops up a box that says, Compile Failed, program was not downloaded to NXT. And the softwere that I am using to download the programmes is Briccx.

Unfortunately I have no solution for you. I had never even heard of the tilted twister til you mentioned it. Looks like a fun project.

Hopefully someone can come along who will make a comment worth reading, and possibly one to solve your communication problem.

You talk about a download and then about a compile failure......to my mind, two separate operations......would you be so kind as to exactly detail what you mean?

I was able to download everything, but there again, I was NOT trying to compile anything at that point in time....

May I suggest that you have probably never done anything like this before and that you are maybe mixing up your terminology?

Your quess is correct. I'm in the Lego Robotics at my school and I decieded to try to build the Titled Twister. All the other times it was the simple, stuff. Like building cars. And I do not believe I am mixing up my terminology. But I will check.

If you need the download (assuming that your download was crapping out) and you have a large email box (I haven't looked at just how big the downloads are yet), maybe I can send it to you......we can discuss offline if you need help.

Well, when I download a program, the NXT allways makes a beep when the program was downloaded. But when I try to download the Tilted Twister program, the Briccx Command Center flashes a pop-up box that sayes, Compile Failed, programm was not downloaded to NXT.

Strange (to me at least), but the message is to do with the sending server.....

As I posted a few minutes ago, should I send it to you? I need your email address....

Its 2 .PDFs and a zip file (tiny) with software.....together its less than 16MB......so you need an email box with 16MB free.....at least!!

Sounds great. But I personally have no email so I will have to email a good friend of mine's. He won't mine.

Oh and p.s. his email makes no sence. He just came up with and fake user name.

Okay I'm giving in. I'm using a schools kit, and sence school is coming to a close for summer, I have to take it apart and do inventory. So this is good bye to school starts again.
