Choosing a TV for a Cold Weather Environment

hi i have a cabin and it is winterized but it is not heated inless i am there. i want to replace the tube tv with a new tv but i dont know what tv to get. i live in winninpeg MB, Canada so i get cold.

i would think a LCD would be no good because it would freeze

Most consumer TV's (CRT's, Plasma's and LCD's) have a storage temperature range of approximately -20 to 45 deg. C. The operating range is somewhat narrower. Let the TV warm up to ambient before turning it on and you should be fine.

but what if the temp goes lower the 20. i have a cabin as well and i dont wait to turn on the tube tv and it still work. i dont trun it on right away but i dont wait unit it gets to warm just not as cold. what tv tube, LCD Plasma would be best. i want to go for a bigger tv so the tube is out i think?

does the cold affect a DVD player, or satelite etc.. for satelite dish does the cold effect the signal?
