Mechanical seal technology

05/23/2009 7:31 PM

Hi out there,

Can someone tell me if we have a mechanical seal that may incorporate ceramic and last a lifetime of wear and tear, my opinion obviously not but somewhere out there you may know of a seal of say flexibox type that is hard wearing long lasting that can pump liquidss with small amouts of titanium in the product.

Sure, Flowserve, Burgmann, Crane all make such a seal.

But you have to install, maintain, and operate them properly in order to achieve long service live.

No one ever does,

and the seal companys reap the repair profits...
