05/30/2009 4:45 PM

I have asked my question before, where do I go to retreive my answer?

As an unregistered guest, all you can do remember where you posted it (what thread where you on? Can you remember the title? If so, you can search CR4 for it, and you may be lucky).

If you register, CR4 will keep track of all your questions and answers for you.

Guest,

JohnDG is right. CR4 will also send you an email automatically when someone replies to your question.

When you went to post your question, you were presented with the following:

You are not logged in to CR4.
You may post to CR4 anonymously, but you will not be notified of replies to your post, and some posting features (such as including images) are disabled.
We suggest that you register now (or login if you are an existing CR4 member).

Tips for Posting on CR4:

  • Look for answers before you post. The answer to your question may already be on CR4.
  • Provide as much information as possible. Questions lacking detail won't get answered.
  • Give some thought to your post title. Don't use "Hello", "Question" or "Help". Be specific, e.g., "How Do I Install Replacement Brushes In My DC Motor"
  • Please stay on topic. Posts and comments should be of a technical nature and engage some aspect of engineering, science or technology.
  • Do not post the same thread multiple times. We will delete duplicate posts.
  • Include your country/region if needed. Some questions can only be answered "correctly" if people know where you are in the world.
  • Do your own homework. CR4 is not a homework cheat site.
  • Post all advertisements in Commercial Space. Select that forum from the list below.
  • For more tips see our FAQ.

Everything you need to know is right there! It tells you! You just didn't bother to read it.

I hope you can find this reply, but I have my doubts

Mike

Alternatively, when you post your question, you can add it to your favorites.

I didn't realise I was showing "attitude"......as it wasn't my hat-he-chewed!

No really, if he can't find the answer to his previous question (whatever that was!), how will he read the answers to this????

Maybe he will get lucky this time......

I'm inclined to say that any "Guest" originated questions are rhetorical.

I would say that Andy is right. "Guest" is probably going to be able to find the thread that he started to find his answers.

Did you mean "not going to find......."?

Yes, that's what I meant to say.

Thank you for catching that for me.

1) We are a group of technical people who help each other. Sometimes we are a group that enjoys getting "off topic" with each other. "I have asked my question before, where do I go to retreive my answer?" sounds like you think we are a service here to solve your problems. You may wish to reconsider the goals of this forum to determine if you are asking your questions in the right place.

2) "Register" is the best answer. See associated comments in previous posts.

3) "See all forum threads" near the top of the main CR4 page is often useful for finding something recent but lost.

4) If I recall correctly your posting had "0 views" for quite a while. I always view my posting, double check to make sure that I like how I worded it, and then bookmark it. I have a collection of bookmarks for my questions because I typically want to read the responses and interact with the responders.

Since you are too lazy to register, what makes you think that we think that you would ever come back anyway.
