However, when I want to get the establishment's number without stopping for too long, I just snap a picture.

Of course, you have to have a camera phone for that.

This sounds very 'futuristic', but I am pretty sure you can do something like this with an Apple iPhone.

Something along the same lines, you can pay your train and bus fare in the UK by phone now simply by touching your phone to a receiver, as you would do a credit card.

Also, when taking photographs with an Apple iPhone, and perhaps some other phones as well, the GPS can log the exact place and address the picture was taken, and list it in your address book. Leastways, that is how I understand it after listening to several Lectures at the Apple Store in London. If you live anywhere near an Apple Store, you can go along and listen to lectures given at certain stores and see exactly what is possible.
