Best material for burner Boom

Please can any body help me the best material for the cone or nozzel of the burner used for offshore burning, does ss304 or ss316 satisfy this or not.

If you are talking about an oil or gas turbine, it can work if designed properly. I would personally use inconel or waspalloy in that these retain their strength under heat better than 304. A compromise would be 409 stainless (feritic) which comes with its own set of challenges.

Whatever you do, do not use 304 offshore.

It suffers sulphur pitting and will spontaneously fracture.

This is the voice of experience and I have initiated worlwide service bulletins on this issue.
