how can we product chlorinated lime or bleaching powder from Ca(OH)2

By passing chlorine gas over it.

Calcium chloride can be made by treating calcium hydroxide with hydrochloric acid. The reaction is exothermic and should be carried out with caution.

Electrolysis of calcium chloride will then produce calcium hypochlorite.
