a physical dimension for describing molecular "motion freedom" (german-Bewegungsfreiheit) it has dimension of Joule pro Kelvin and Mol. This un-orderly of a substance will increase for example by heating-increase the temperature, molten, sublimation or evaporating or expantion any gases.

All natural processes are more are less irreversible and are accompanied by an increase in entropy. The degree of irreversibility is quantitatively given by the increase in entropy.

Its a state property.....simply defined...

for example...you can touch a glass, you can feel a glass, you can describe its shape, you can drwa it, you can say its one glass....this is because this glass has a very low entropy...its very discrete and defined and ordered....

however, if you drop this glass then it shatters in million pieces, can you count it now, can you describe the shape, can you draw it....we cant because its order of randomness has increased, its entropy has increased....

all natural process are accompanied with an increase in entropy such as ice melting and even us aging is an example of increase in entropy....now the backwards is hardly natural aint it...

hope above helps dude..
