Consumer's Tax Rate (CTR) of Different Countries

Hi there,

It is much appreciated that you folks give me many good suggestions on VAT rate search.

I also want to know the CTR(Consumer's tax rate), as I want to check the total cost of an importer of our wind turbines. (from FOB China to the final client)

Answers could be very large and complicated - I wish you luck!

To purchase anything direct from overseas I *should* only face import duties if they apply. *Most* states do not yet tax direct purchases over the internet. So tax = 0.

If I purchase from a local distributor, I will face State purchase tax, city purchase tax. In my state/town tax = 8.5% for *most* things.

*as an American living in Arizona, one of 50 states that can provide you different answers just within the United States.
