Power Generation Using Gravitational Force

06/24/2009 11:01 AM

Date: 04-11-2008

From

P. Rama Linga Swamy,

6-7-570, Sripuram Colony,

K T Road,

Tirupati-517507.

Patent applied for: LIFT DESIGN & OPERATION USING GRAVITATIONAL FORCE

& POWERGENERATION USING GRAVITATIONAL FORCE

Project:-

Build two numbers of LIFT structures in parallel connecting the Chandragiri Road at Ground level and Divyaramam entrance at Top of Tirumala Hills. Necessary precautions should be taken for the safety and security of people and property.

Calculations:-

Height of Lift Structures (say) 1 Km = 1000 Meters

Capacity of each Lift (say) 50 persons

@ 50 Kg per person, 50 x 50 = 2.5 tons = 2500 Kgs

A circular chain connecting the two Lift structures as shown in the diagram.

Fill Platform A at ground level with 49 persons.

Fill Platform B at Top Level with 50 persons

By allowing the load to move, we make the lifts to be operated with Gravitational Force. By connecting the load to a Generator, we can generate Power.

Project Name: GARUDA VAHANAM

Sub: - POWER GENERATION USING GRAVITATIONAL FORCE

Facts from dailies: - There are no rains, no water, and no hydro-electric power generation. There is acute power shortage in future.

Then what is the present available possible solution?

Concept: - Power Generation at micro-level (through number of projects) even at 70% efficiency, resulting in self-sufficiency and ultimately less load on Grid Electricity.

Working notes:-

On an average 50,000 people are visiting Tirumala Hills daily. Let us assume, each person weights 50 kg on average, then their total weight is 50 x 50,000 = 25,00,000 kgs.= 2,500 Tons. To bring them down @ 50 passengers per bus, more than 1,000 nos buses are used. Each bus weights 3 Tons, then total buses weight = 3 tons x 1,000 nos =3,000 tons. So, gross total weight = 3,000 + 2,500 = 5,500 tons.

Comparision of this Lift Project with :

a) Hydro Electric Power Project;

It depends upon rains. No rains, no water, no power generation, whereas, in Lift Project, the people will be visiting Tirumala for generations together. So, there will not be discontinuity in the power generation.

b) Other Lifts (which are presently using in buildings)

They operate with Power input and limited usage, whereas, in Lift Project, Power will be generated. Vehicular Transportation can be minimized, resulting in decline in the usage of petroleum products. Pollution control can be possible. Green-house effect can be averted.

A brief description of Operation:-

Ravi is an R T C Bus Driver. He has to bring down the Bus with 50 passengers from Tirumala Hills to Tirupati. He started the Bus, he observed the Board, "GARUDA VAHANAM" is ready. He drove the Bus from Bus stand to Project site and put the Bus on Trolley No.1. He applied the hand break in the Bus and also on the Trolley and stopped the engine.

When the green signal comes, the Trolley started moving slowly and entered into cage. After the cage locked to Trolley, it moved to LIFT area and was put on the Lift Structure. The entire operation is with computer programming, so that human errors will not be there. As the load started moving down slowly, the Trolley No.2 from ground level, started coming up.

After reaching the ground level, the cage was moved forward and green signal come to move out the Bus from Trolley. Ravi released the hand brakes and drove to Chandragiri Road and then to Pilgrim Centre.

Brief Technical Description:-

For Safety and Security of the People and Property and its operation, the following measures can be undertaken.

Mechanical Engineering Department:

Weights: -

Up to 50% distance of the total height (of 1 km = 1,000 meters) Trolley No.1 comes down normally, but after that, it starts accelerating its speed due to proximity to ground and hence, increase in Gravitational Force. To control this we can increase the weight of the Trolley No.2 by adding 10 kg or so, each time. If we add 70 Kgs, the Trolley starts going in reverse direction.

The accurate operational measures can be studied by putting ready (say) 100 bags of sand at up hill and another 100 bags of sand at ground level and verifying its operation for some days of weeks.

The general breaking system to be employed depends on usage of hydraulic disc breaking, speed control through software, in other words, whenever there is increase in speed, it automatically applies breaks I, II, III.

For safety of the people & property, 5 numbers of independent chain Links will be used, attached with linking wheels. The total height of 1 km = 1,000 meters is divided into 10 numbers of independent chain links. Strong guiders are also provided on four sides of trolley, so that even a chain link brakes, it will not effects the movement of the Trolley.

Forest Department:-

During recent Brahmostavams of 10 days A P S R T C was conducted 30,000 trips to & fro Tirumala to Tirupati. @ 5 Km mileage per one liter diesel, it has consumed 3, 00,000 liters of Diesel in that 25 Km distance in 10 days. What will be extent of pollution, and its contribution to green house effect?

So, Forest Department will give clearance for this project and also encourages.

Electricity Department:-

During receipt Brahmostavams of 10 days more than 10, 00,000 people visited Tirumala Hills. @ 50 Kg per person, the total weight comes to 50*10, 00,000 = 5, 00, 00,000 Kgs = 50,000 Tons at a height of 1 Km = 1000 meters.

How much power we can generate with that weight at height?

So, Electricity Department encourages this project.

Civil Engineering Department:

The location cited in the project is very good, because the Lift Structures get the support from the surrounding hill areas, get protection from blowing heavy winds. Rocky and hill places, helps the structures building strong.

Pilgrims & Tourism Department:

Because of less fixed cost and nominal running cost like maintenance and staff salaries, etc, we can provide free transportation from Tirupati to Tirumala and vice versa.

We are getting power generated from their weight contribution.

How is it, then, that there are always more people to come down than there are to go up?

Question:

How is it, then, that there are always more people to come down than there are to go up?

Answer:

Nearly 20,000 people are going up and coming down by walk, by bus, by other mode or transportation. Secondly, out of 90% of pilgrims going up walking and coming down by Bus or any other transportation. There is continuous flow of pilgrims for ever.

In this project there is no variable cost. Only fixed cost to safe guard the men & material transportation.

I fail to grasp the meaning of this post. Do you want a pat on the back?
