Distance Relays

Hi All

Please tell me about the Distance Relay, How it detect the actual posion of fault and how it works and please tell me, from what kind of faults it can protect the system

A google search of "distance relay" found the answer in its first hit. Also try Wikipedia.

Please try performing an internet search yourself before asking broad and simple questions here. It isn't difficult and saves us wasting our time when the answers are so easily available using a simple internet search.
