Changing User Names

I find instructions on changing a password, but if I wanted to change my user name, how do I do that?

Heck..with the user name Jim Cartwright I sympathise... all the best cat related names have been taken
Just teasing...dunno if it can be done without contacting admin (for which you need a magic lamp to rub). Or maybe just starting afresh and registering with a new name.
