Jeyes Fluid

07/01/2009 12:37 PM

If you burnt your food in a pot....Pour some jeyes fluid in, leave overnight. Do not throw the jeyes fluid away, use it with water to spray on your plants to keep bugs away.

Also good to clean an enjin or the carburettor.

Let me guess, you just happen to be selling "jeyes fluid" right?

I wouldn't put a solution that contains, "Washed neutral oil, High Boiling tar Acids, methanol" on my plants.

I'm not very sorry for misspelling words.......I am not English-speaking!

Some of us stil think of the Brittish as the enemy!

About 3 teespoons full on a gallon of water wil not harm your plants, is not poisonous, and it does keep the bugs away.

Jeyes fluid contains carbolic acid. When I was little, we had bucked-system toilets....They put a little jeyes fluid in the empty buckeds to offset the smell!

I went to a cooking demo by Paul Prudhomme last year and he showed the slickest trick. If you burn food in a cast iron pot, turn the pot upside down on the flame and turn the gas up high. Sets off the smoke alarm but gets the stuff right out. If you don't know, you never want to wash a cast iron pot.

Vinegar is safer.
