what is the meaning of "U" & "U2" Stamps by ASME

What is the meaning of "U" and "U2" stamps by ASME for section viii div.1 & 2 respectively.? means U for what ?

The 'U' stands for Unfired pressure vessel

U for Div 1

U2 for Div 2
