Countless.

Think first what a transmitter is (in it's broadest sense). Then think of examples. For every one you come up with, someone will be able to come up with a variant.

Some starters: Optical, RF, microwave, 2-wire, 3-wire, CW, AM, FM ... the list goes on and on.
