Start by taking a basic keyboarding class, maybe some basic grammar as well. Nothing is more detrimental to a resume than poor grammar and typing errors, irregardless of the credentials you have.

Why did you even apply to school if you don't know what you want to school for?

You may be calculating equipment requirements for cell phone towers. or uplinks to satellites. or downlinks.

You might be trying to determine cheapest way to get maximum subscriber coverage using fewest cell towers (there, i didn't have to say antennas, antennae-oops!)

you might be working on sytem upgrades in switching stations, replacing fiber optics, or troubleshooting databases.

Frankly, in the five years youre liely to spend in school, the technologies will have been reinvented once or twice.

Good luck, and frankly, i'd take a geography course or two, as you'll be likely trying to site something... somewhere.

My sonin law graduated with highest honors in Electrical engineering.

He's writing software for a major medical software company.

He went to school to study EE because he liked it , not for job training. In the end, it was a perfect fit for his job.
