Thermo Acoustic Generator

08/10/2009 12:16 PM

A combined 3 in 1 cooker, coldbox & generator

Boasting an conversion efficiency of 15-20% certainly makes this technology to watch!

Light a power on LED

I liked the rocket engined hydraulic pump you posted though peroxide is evil stuff.

Why is your avatar so familiar?

I must say you have been a fine addition to this bit of lunacy we call CR4, always good to someone who gives as good as they get, without feeling butt hurt

Thank you for the kind words.

The unique Hydraulic pump concept did spark my interest, Although I think I would take the concept, and power it with something a bit more realistic... like say.. diesel fuel perhaps?

The Avatar is from an album cover from the 90's... It's Incubus's "Enjoy Incubus" Album... I believe it was their first, just before Fungus Amongus.

I enjoy CR4 quite a bit, possibly more than I should. I do have to admit, I would get more work done if I weren't here, but I can't help it. .

I applaud those working on things that will actually have a chance of making other peoples lives better, Especially those who live in third world environments. Those of us who can help, should. Maybe once they can get on their feet enough, they will contribute, right back into the system.

"...uses the waste heat of the stove to power a thermoacoustic generator
to create electric power to power some LEDs and/or charge cellphone batteries"

(LINK)

...I wonder if the Third World populace would have such a need for powering LED's or their mobile phones...rofl

...more efficient to use the heat generated from a stove (used for cooking) to drive an absorption refridgerator and run a small steam engine

...even more efficient to break away from the forced pending reliance on burning stuff up proposed by the author and use cleaner solar.
